I'm not one for waiting in lines for food, but I had read so many glowing reviews for Tartine that I thought I'd give it a try! We waited maybe 25 minutes for a piece of chocolate soufflé cake, a coconut cream tart, and a...More

My 3 teenagers and I stopped at Tartine based upon Tripadvisor reviews. We each sampled one of their items from morning buns (mmmm) to banana cream tarts (fabulous) The food was so good a passerby asked to take our picture.

Group of 4 stood in line Sunday morning for about 20 minutes. Well worth the wait. Processco and gourmet sandwiches with Tartine's famous bread. Pecorino cheese with almonds, safe and lemon - rich but tasty. Pastrami and gruyere. Sandwich orders are quiet big and can...More

Always a line in a gritty neighborhood but what a great bakery! The cafe ole is huge, the ham and cheese croissant is delicious as is the banana cream tart! The morning cinnamon roll is great also! Go, it's worth the wait and drive!

Most of the time the food is very good, a couple of times items have been a bit burnt and hard. Service is hot and cold.

The line here was longer than Mr. Holmes but moved along nicely. My favorites here were the morning bun, almond croissant and the banana cream tart. I didn't like the savory scone that much. Everything was very tasty and enjoyable. If I had to pick...More

While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its
