If you ever tried to get into Boogaloos on a weekend morning/early afternoon, you know it's popular. I like everything on the menu.

Oh My God, I just Love the Biscuits and Gravy from Boogaloos! I come here with the wife and kids at least once a month. This is one of our go to spots. I don't deviate too much from the biscuits and gravy, why mess with a good thing right? The wife and kids order from all over the menu.... More

Big portions, with lots of excellent veggie choices. Everything is well cooked and presented for a decent price.

My friend and I woke up after an international flight back to the USA with a appetite for an old fashioned American Breakfast. Finally found Boogaloos. Not disappointed except in the coffee. This is not a fancy restaurant, this is a place to go 1/2 asleep and experience a wonderful coffee cake, omelet, vegetables, whatever your appetite desires in the... More

Good place for egg dishes - they were all good. Avoid the Little Shanghai Salad -- it's just plain goofy. The red cabbage was actually pickled red cabbage which clashed with the peanut dressing. We all thought it was a weird and un-tasty combination!

I have eaten here several times and enjoyed it. Breakfast is the best. Food is made fresh, and has a unique flare. Located in a former pharmacy in the Mission District, it is not fancy- just good.

I really enjoyed my breakfast at Boogaloos. We were a group of six, classic family tourists, spanning a wide range of ages, with only one proto-hipster in the pack. Arriving early on a weekday, we were seated immediately. Coffee was promptly served and continuously refilled; it was a good cup of coffee in the diner style, not an overly roasted... More

Get here early, add your name to the wait list on the clipboard (no reservations permitted), and just be patient. The crowds arrive around 10 AM on the weekends, and large groups will have to wait, but it's all worth it. The menu is very generous to all diets, including tofu scrambles and even vegetarian biscuits and gravy. Once seated,... More

We went on a Monday to avoid the long lines. My Spanish husband got the huevo rancheros and said they were ok. Someone else in my party got the eggs with polenta. The polenta was so underseasoned. It tasted like hard glue. I got the soyrizo hash which I enjoyed, well seasoned and a bit crunchy. Pancakes were good but... More

Many of the restaurants on Valencia Street are defined by their location and lines stretching out the door. I'd been hesitant to visit Boogaloos for this reason - I was afraid that it was just another overpriced, trendy Mission spot mostly memorable for the wait to get in. I was wrong. The key is to show up before 9:30. You... More

Staying in Mission District

Neighbourhood Profile
Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighbourhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners.
