What a great spot! Perfect wait staff, many of whom have been here for a number of years and lend their expertise freely! Quaint and cozy with a French bistro feel! All of the menu choices were great and I had a difficult time choosing...they all sounded great! The pork chop is renown and for good reason! Everything is simply... More

We brought a group to Boulevard and we're fortune to secure the wine room. The service was spectacular. Our 2 wait staff took exceptional care of our group. The wine steward was very helpful advisors g between a few choice selections. The kitchen did a nice job in delivering our meals in unison. Overall we had a perfect experience.

You can't go wrong at this downtown favorite with delicious, bistro style food in a quintessential SF setting. Lively bar, thick wine list, and solid food, delighting a variety of palates. Attentive service. There is a lot of competition in this foodie city but for an occasion dinner, or straightforward business dinner, it's always a great choice.

Started the evening with three of the possible house made ice tea combinations- refreshing and thirst quenching. Had beet, walnut, mixed greens, blue cheese "Waldorf". Great starter. Mains: Lamb T bone, perfect medium rare, light sauce, potato and peas excellent compliment. Kurobuta Pork Chop, chop itself succulent and flavorful served a top puréed potato with side broccolini. Broccolini was bitter... More

Upscale restaurant, exciting atmosphere, fantastic service, delicious desserts. The open-concept kitchen provided subtle entertainment during the evening, and our waitress was observant and efficient. The Chocolate Silk Cream 'Pie' was tasty, although we were a bit surprised when it arrived. While the carrot cake was massive, the silk pie came in three bite-sized pieces. Online menu prices are not current.

We decided to go here on the spur of the moment. We had just enough time for lunch before going to the airport. It was right at noon when we arrived and there were plenty of empty tables. Our server was Sophia. She was the perfect waitress. Gave us time to peruse the menu. I chose the Local Captain's Platter.... More

Out of nine dinners in Sonoma and SF, this was hands down the best meal of the bunch both in terms of service/atmosphere and food quality. The interior design replicates a French cafe from 50+ years ago. Very relaxing and welcoming. Food was stellar from start (bread) to appetizer (ahi carpaccio and crab salad) to dinner (we both had the... More

We had looked at the menu in advance and more or less decided what we wanted to order. The restaurant is located in a very convenient spot so it's easy to get to. We knew we wanted fish and had read great reviews. Our waiter, for whatever reason, told us NOT to order fish and instead to get the ravioli... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
