The wife and I truly enjoyed the food. I had the lumberjack breakfast and she enjoyed the Ruben sandwich. Excellent service and decent prices.

The food here is a little expensive but tasty. Service was slow, especially at the end - not really the staff's fault; there seemed to be only one waiter on the floor and he was over-stretched.
It was with great pleasure I saw a Shepard's Pie blue plate special of for 14.95. Well it was nothing like I expected, maybe it was a California twist on an old world classic. That being said it was excellent. I would buy it again....More
We stayed in the adjoining hotel over the Christmas holiday this year. Your average little diner. It was nice being 24 hours (got a midnight snack one night!)
The restaurant was busy. The theme is old American. Service was fast. We found it a bit overpriced for the basic burghers that we had.
Right next door to our hotel, The Opal, with it's own private access to Mels. We had very good food, especially the salads, husband had a goodsteak cooked how he likes it. Ate there twice so it must be good. Liked the decor, stylish diner
