Wow, had croissants and coffee on a SF visit. Delicious! Despite alternatives, returned a second morning for an encore. Still delicious! Take a bread of your choice to go. All kinds of other breakfast and lunch delicacies--galettes, tarts, scones, quiche, muffins, cakes, artisan breads and sandwiches to fit all tastes. Highly recommend! The owner, Michael Suas, is a teach and... More

My friend and I stopped here to try their almond croissants after reading about them on Yelp and we were not disappointed. When we arrived on a Sunday morning, a fresh tray of the croissants had just come out of the oven. All I can say is that it was heaven in my mouth! Still warm, it had the perfect... More

I was strongly recomanded to visit this place by a local friend and he was completely right. Bread is a masterpiece of art and the sandwiches that they prepare with it are consequently wonderful. Waitresses are very helpful and nice

We walked here after going to the Painted Ladies. I was in the mood for a pastry. I got an almond scone which was amazingly good, and my husband got the carrot cake that was even better. my only regret is that i didnt get a mocha to go with it.

What took me so long to find this place in my home city?! I love it for its authentic baked goods done right there in plain sight. Tastes fantastic, too. The backyard is a delight to experience on a nice day. It's outside among trees and plants. Such a nice escape from the city streets.

Busy, we tried many items and everything was tasty! The quiche and the savory bread pudding would be better warmed so ask for that! The blueberry coffee cake was delicious!

I am on the quest for the best croissants in the Bay area and Thorough Bread made it to my short list but not all the way to the top. However they score high because of the chouquettes and the great patio where you can have a nice cup of coffee, chat with your friends and load on pastries. The... More

I'm always torn about writing about favorite locations in my neighborhood. It's always good to share the wealth but at the risk of longer lines. LOL This place turns out some delicious carbs. They have a nice patio out back when the weather is nice. (No dogs allowed unfortunately.) Almond croissants shatter with buttery goodness, great breads and cakes/tarts that... More

I have been on a sweets mission in San Francisco for over a year now. This bakery's almond croissants are prize-worthy, especially when you get the ones that just came out of the oven. Their patio in the back is an enchanting place to enjoy your goodies. I highly recommend this place for all croissant and baguette people =) More... More

A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation.
