We were excited to try this place, since our teen is learning ASL, and we were not disappointed (they make it easy to communicate, even with no ASL experience). The setting is beautiful and intimate, and the gourmet pizza is out of this world- the best we've ever had. Our 11 & 14 yr olds even ate every bite, which... More

My wife and I had read about Mozzeria, primarily Deaf staff and good food. So we gave it a try. Glad we did. We are not versed in ASL so it was a bit like visiting a sort-of foreign country. Lot's of smiling, pointing and positive attitudes. The menu is small, but the food packs big flavor. We ordered the... More

We had a large group of 16 and they accommodated us with smiles and patience. The mostly deaf staff were accommodating and we had no problems with the orders or drinks. Great pizzas and food. Just lovely.

We were looking for something late on a Friday night and found this little place close to where we were staying. We wanted pizza and are from NY so this is not the same and we were not expecting it to be. It was very good as the reviews said. Nice thin crust with very good flavor. They had nice... More

My 19-year old daughter was on her way to college in Oregon to study American Sign Language. She had heard about a restaurant in San Francisco where the staff was all deaf and you ordered using ASL via symbols on the menu. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. The waiter used hand signals, but not really ASL. My daughter... More

Loved Mozzeria. Nice quaint restaurant with uncanny authentic Neapolitan stone-fired pizzas. We tried the Margherita and the Hosui Pear...both fantastic. Staff was super friendly and the specialty nonalcoholic drinks were like something I've never tasted before (Thyme infused lemonade and ginger iced tea). Actual rating is 4.5/5 and only docked 1/2 point due to the fact the restaurant was pretty... More

While visiting San Francisco we went out on a limb and read just a few reviews of Mozzeria and called an uber. We got seated right away and was greeted by our server immediately. We were happy that we read ahead of time on one of the reviews that most of the staff was hearing impaired. It would have caught... More

Neighborhood wood fired pizza joint. Recommend the burrata!!! Also, the mushroom pizza with truffle oil. Their garlic dipping sauce is great to dip your crust in. Fantastic service and great wine list.
