If you're craving "Wiener Schnitzel" and the like, this place is the real deal. As in Austria, you get sides of salad with your meal as well. It is what it is - very very authentic Austrian food. Give it a try! :-)

2 thumbs up for this charming, delicious restaurant! Some of our favorites were the cauliflower soup, vegetable strudel, watercress salad, paprika beef goulash, wiener schnitzel and the choucroute garni platter! We'll definitely be back! :)

Food was very tasty. Wish that there was a more extensive menu and that it was clearer about the accompanying side dishes. We ended up with extra side dishes that were separate charges from our dinner. The sides that came with the dishes were not what I would have chosen due to dietary restrictions. Service was very nice. It was... More

We, me and my husband, went to the restaurant at 9:15 pm and was closet already. But the schedule here at the trip advisor said 10:00 pm. Please, correct the schedule!

The service was great and so were the food and drinks. This is a great place for a rainy night. We weren't rushed and we went away very full. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great.

Leopold's quickly became our favorite spot to eat. We went twice on our 4 day vacation because the food was so delicious!

Met my Niece here for Dinner. Owner came out and greeted us. Found us a place at the bar while we waited for our table. The service and food was great. wish I could go more often.

Great Austrian food and beers at a reasonable price. I have been there three times and thoroughly enjoyed all my meals. Be aware, however, that it can be quite loud at times in this very popular restaurant.

Came in on a rainy Saturday evening for dinner. Was greeted kindly and sat in the only table left. I was actually shocked how packed it was because it was 6 pm. The dining room is relatively small which may be why it seemed so packed. Our waitress was very sweet but was hard to hear here because the room... More

Staying in Russian Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.
