I've now been to La Trappe 5 times, and as much as I love some things about it (some tasty food, great beer menu, and cool atmosphere), I have to say that if they don't change something up with their "system" and general attitude of...More

A very distinctive place -- with a 100's of varieties of beer on the menu and an intimate eating/drinking lounge downstairs -- just like I've experienced in Belgium. The bartender knows beer!

Having taken the trolley to Union Square, whilst on the way back to our hotel, we stopped in and came down the stairs. From the beginning, we enjoyed this treat. We had Westmalle and Rochefort 10 along with a cheese board, which was so delicious...More

They have so many delicious Belgian beers to choose from (Blanche de Namur....yummy), our waiter could hardly memorize them all! Nice cozy atmosphere, not too loud, but it's a little hot in the basement! Our waiter Sean was very friendly and took the time to...More

A nice place with plenty of selections of both Belgian food and beer. Prices were moderately high but expected for San Francisco. Service was slow in that it took a long time to cook the food but the waiters were up front about it and...More

Go to the basement. Amazing beer and bar food experience. The beer menu is extensive and tasty. Recommend the "Wallovian Hot Dog".

Found this little pub by accident while asking a local for directions. They have hundreds (I swear) of Belgian beers to choose from and some of them on tap! Add to that some great Belgian food to go with the beer and you have an...More

The answer is, I am not sure. My point of reference is Mannequin Pis in Olney, Maryland, which is consistently rated as one of the best restaurants in the city., Because you can't rank various aspects separately, I decided to rank the place as average...More

Went with a party of six -- three women who were not interested in beer were left with a paltry wine selection, and a waiter whose response was "I only know about the beers." Food was below average, and for an early evening reservation they...More

Huge 50 page beer menu with tons of international and local beers to chose from. Staff were knowledgeable without being pretentious.

Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential
neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner.
Combined with several great cafes, restaurants,
antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any
visitor would gladly leave their heart in San
Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down
Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world,
and make the slow creep downhill past charming period
