Located in North Beach in the Italian section, this restaurant/bar great. Restaurant upstairs and bar downstairs. Huge selection of Belgian and Italian beer. Owner Michael is extremely knowledgeable about Belgian Beers since he used to live in Europe and travels there annually.

As expected from a place called 'La Trappe', they have a great selection of Belgian ales, and the food to match. Service was decent if not noteworthy, nice, quiet ambience in the downstairs room. I had mussels & frites, which were delicious as you expect...More

I tried the Prairie Bomb (American double/Imperial Stout). Full flavored, very dark, not very hoppy, smooth, chocolate, vanilla,...More

Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential
neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner.
Combined with several great cafes, restaurants,
antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any
visitor would gladly leave their heart in San
Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down
Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world,
and make the slow creep downhill past charming period
