The bakery case in front is a little misleading too, making the place look fancier than it is. It's spacious but worn and old-fashioned. Even so, I thought it was great. This is basically a New York style Jewish deli but more breakfast than deli....More

We ate here twice during a three-day trip to SF. Very good food, good variety, good value. Service is friendly. Would definitely go back. Pick up a macaroon on the way out!

Hubby and I went for brunch one morning. We were welcomed and seated quickly. The bottomless coffee was great. I had potato pancakes and hubby had french toast. It wasn't amazing but it was good. The waitress was friendly and efficient and the place had...More

We have eaten here 3 or 4 times now on 2 different trips. Deli style plates, wonderful corn beef sandwiches, great soups, great breakfasts. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. Need to eat here at least once on a trip to San Fran,

You can actually eat there at anytime, but I love their breakfast items. The chopped liver sandwich is also great. Not mind blowing, but a nice experience.

We ate here before a show last month. Service was incredibly slow, the waitress forgot our order and the food was just so so. Skip this place and go to the Pinecrest which is excellent and worth your money.

Knowing the history of David's Delicatessen and its owner, I have to say I was a little disappointed with the food. Plentiful, and okay but nothing memorable. Had the matzoh ball soup- broth good with half the bowl filled with one ginormous matzoh ball that...More
