Went here for dinner with three colleagues. Made a reservation on open table and it worked out perfectly since we arrived at 6:15. Place was very busy with our table perfectly situated by the window. We shared a bottle of delicious Sauv Blanc and enjoyed the artichoke app. Lemon aioli was splendid! I had a burger and it was cooked... More

Every experience with Staff made us feel like we were the most important couple on the premises. The best example of service was Mary Kate at Perry's on the Embarcadero. She explained in detail each menu item we asked about. She is very 'business like' and has a warm welcoming smile. Thanks for the help. To me Perry's isn't just... More

Perrys is located close to the Ferry building and has a view of the bay bridge. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch here. The hamburgers are huge. Chowder is good and so are their salads. They missed the mark on my bacon cheese omelette by giving me a cheese omelette with strips of bacon on top. Still good but I really... More

I've been to Perry's with my family and friends. Staff is friendly and food is good. I'd only include some more options in the kid's menu.

So on my recent San Francisco work trip we get up super early on Sunday morning to go for breakfast. The intention is that is a pseudo working breakfast but more to the point we are trying to find a 24 hour eaterie that my colleague remembers from his many previous trips. Apparently it's a place that he ended up... More

I stopped to eat at this restaurant while waiting to check in at the Hotel Griffon adjoining the restaurant. I was pleased with the variety of offerings on the menu. I ordered on the their salads. It was very good. I also ordered their cornbread muffins with jalapeno peppers. They were delicious. They also have a full bar. This restaurant... More

I had lunch here during a rainy day in the city and the food was very comforting (Seared Ahi Sandwich - yummy, Fish & Chips – also very good). The service is very friendly and there is no rush to get you fed and out on time for the next guests, although the restaurant was super busy and seems to... More

Walked in from the back with no indication that we had to go to the front to check in for a table. Sat by the bar and after half hour was told that they wanted to seat us somewhere else. Asked if we could stay where we were and got a nasty OK. Waiter had absolutely no personality. Artichoke was... More

Popped in here while on the pier to get my grind on and came across Perry's. This place has a very upscale feel to it. It could be the dark brown tones of of the wooded decor and the flowers flower center pieces. The white tent folded napkins and the clicking of wine glasses from the patrons at the bar,... More

Nice surroundings, and admittedly not much of a view once you are inside, but quite bright and airy ambience, and the service was attentive and we didn't feel rushed as we lingered over brunch and coffee.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
