Right in the Castro district. If you love cookies you gotta pop in to this place. Tiny place , amazing cookies. Get em to go and eat while wandering the district.

This little bakery is literally a hole in the wall that is crowded when there are two customers inside. One can see cookies being made in the kitchen that's not very far from the displays of cookies. Cookies, both jumbo and regular-sized, are sold by the pound. The couple ahead of me, had a difficult time selecting 12 different cookies.... More

Everytime I visit the Castro I always stop in and get an oatmeal raisin cookie and a hot cup of coffee. They are very good!

Cute local shop serving a variety of flavors and shapes (you'll understand when you go) and they're made right onsite! Friendly staff and open late!

Original concept and good treats but quite expensive for what it is. I had the Venus cookie (that is huge by the way) and it was good, but maybe not worth the 8$...

I do my best to try all the cookies that look really like cookies wherever I am... For San Francisco and Yosemitee area, I went to 3 cookies shops. A a matter of fact, I got different types in HOT COOKIE from Castro. They are not too much sugared, not too buttered and there is a large quantity of chocolat... More

Big and tasty cookies. Very similar to the levain bakery in NYC, but I think the latter are a little bit better. But these one's are also really good!

I fully understand why there is a lineup to get into a cookie establishment. Open late when you want it.

Staying in The Castro

Neighbourhood Profile
The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theatres and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
