We were in the city for one night for a show and in an area full of good restaurants. This place was close to our hotel and, since we all love Thai, decided to try it. The meals we each had were delicious! We had Tom Yum, Green Curry, Panang Curry and Pad Thai and all were exceptional. The service... More

This place was super close to where we were staying, so after a long day of walking it was near and easy to walk to! I had the spicy seafood, it was so good! There was a variety of seafood and fish, everything was cooked perfectly. The veooies were crisp yet tender, and they were quality vegetables, no carrots. The sauce... More

My partner and i just moved to SF, and we were walking Divisadero when we found this Thai pearl. It was lunch, and the restaurant was not full. Since then, we visited this place another couple of times for dinner and my impression is that the people didn't hear about this place yet. This is a surprisingly low price high... More

Typically Thai menu with no surprises. Food was served with little enthusiasm..but maybe that's because we arrived at 930p.m. on a Wednesday evening. Not particularly good value for money. On a trivial note....too much tofu in the Chicken Pad Thai.

Thai Place II has a good selection of standard Thai dishes at very reasonable prices. The Salmon Choo Chee is excellent. We also like the Pla Muk Prig Pao (calamari), which is not on the menu, or the Green Bean with Chicken. Service is very fast. They also do a brisk take-out and offer local delivery.

Had a great lunch here while on holidays in San Fran. The food was amazing and such good value. I'm a veggie and the selection for me was great! A lot of people seem to eat lunch here which is always a good sign. Went back again a few days later as it was really very good!

Staying in Haight-Ashbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Haight-Ashbury
The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops. While the Summer of Love ended decades ago, Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through its streets can still feel like stepping back in time. A must-see neighbourhood for most music fans, it’s easy to see why these streets attracted the likes of the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. You’ll likely be content in The Haight day or night, just be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
