This is a great, can't stress that enough, place....all the staff we met were super friendly, service was great. I had the clam chowder, bread and a Yuengling beer. I had chosen this place because of the name, ratings and it's proximity to where we were. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area, you will not... More

Despite the name, the service & atmosphere was anything but grumpy! Enjoy the hometown service with that Boston accent. The menu was surprisingly diverse with items you'd expect, such as great lobster rolls, and surprising items like the chicken Parmesan. All servings were large at reasonable prices. Enjoy.

Never had a bad meal here. Lobster roll is the best . Buffalo chic sub is awesome. The rolls are all freshly baked ...cheesy bread is incredible ...and my fave is the onion soup... delicious. Only drawback is the tiny bar.

Food was very good. Service was also very good and checked with us very often for refills etc. We had the large roll, clam chowder, and the hot turkey sandwich! Needed nap after leaving for sure :)

Came here for dinner with my 87 yr old aunt and my cousin who just flew in from Michigan and obviously was dying for seafood. Everything about our server made our dining experience excellent. Asked if they had bacon bits and she got them. Said that she went down to the dock to get our clam chowder, And it went... More

If I am in Quincy it is a given that my first lunch will be at Grumpy's for a lobster roll. This trip I made it twice. For me this remains the best lobster roll that I've ever had anywhere and also I'd say my favorite way to eat lobster because it is consistently prepared and served here. I had... More

I'll admit, it's been a few years since I tried Grumpy White's. Mostly because my SO and I tasted our food, looked at each other and said, "We don't need to come back here." and we didn't. Bland, flavorless food. The service was good, and the atmosphere unremarkable.

Grumpy White's is a local tradition not to be missed if you are looking for classic americana food, one step up from a diner.

Chicken supreme for the adults and hot dog and fries for Ry. Everyone was happy. Definitely a family favorite!
