Maybe it was an off day for this local favorite, or maybe it's just not as good as some folks have told us it is. McKay's simply didn't leave us at all wowed. The western omelet didn't include cheese automatically, which seemed odd, so the other ingredients were left with nothing to hold it together and a rather bland result.... More

Across the street from the birth place of John & John Q Adams. 5 star service. Coffee cups ($1.75) never runs dry here. Tried the grilled blueberry muffin ($2) tasted great too. Homemade. Had the Spinach & Feta Omelette ($9.50) which was loaded with spinach... would make Popeye envious. Home potatoes (red) were cooked perfectly and had generous portion. Very... More

McKay has large portions and the best fried scallops I have found in all of MA! The breakfast offerings are amazing.

I went here with my wife and three sons. There was something for everyone and the food was great. Dick stopped by our table to inquire how we liked everything and that was a nice touch. Highly recommend McKay's for breakfast. Service was prompt and friendly.

We had a party of 7 this evening at McKay's. Have never visited this establishment before but will certainly be back again. Our party had orders of prime rib, scallops and clam strips with veggies and fries. Service was exceptional and the food delicious. This is a family restaurant that excels. The prices are very reasonable and the portion size... More

Being from Jersey, we know a few things about diners and breakfasts... while the selections for diners are limited, McKays is by far the best in the area... None of the others compare. Service is quick, polished, but not pushy. The corned beef hash omlet with red skin home fries and rye toast is a 2 fer. Meaning you can... More

Our family stopped for breakfast while traveling through. Everything was fine, employees were friendly, food was average. Would eat there again, but it was nothing special. Across the road from the Adams birthplace, so that was a nice surprise.

Never have a bad meal here! We come about twice a year for breakfast. Always friendly, fast service. And the food is freshly prepared and delicious. I have eaten dinner here in the past- giant portions of comfort food and fresh seafood.

We were there on a busy Sunday morning. Waited to get in, waited to get our drinks, waited to give our order. We expected that. However, once we gave our order, we were forgotten about! I was never given more coffee. I spotted the pot and went over to refill my cup after sitting there for 15 minutes with an... More
