A group of us made dinner reservations at Tisa's Barefoot Bar as Tropical Cyclone Ula was approaching American Samoa and needless to say we were the only ones at the restaurant which made the experience that much more awesome. I've never had a whole restaurant all to ourselves! The drive over to Tisa's Barefoot Bar was amazing and my travel... More

Ms. Tisa and her husband were warm and welcoming, and this place is a beautiful little gem on the beach. You need to get a ride in, but then you can just grab a snorkel off the hook at the end of the bar, and jump right into the water. The beach and the fish you see are incredible... and... More

Tisa and Dan are great hosts! Food was excellent, and the view is pretty close to perfect! Don't forget to look through the sign in book, cool to see folks who have visited from all over the world.

In conservative American Samoa where drinking is frowned upon, this watering hole is a must see while in American Samoa. The joint reminds you something out of the series Lost and the movie Beach. Loads of tourists from cruise ships get dropped off here to get their booze on and you'll rarely find a local here. While the beach is... More

Tisa and her family own this beautiful peace of beachfront, and chose years ago to set up a bar/grill. It is eclectic to the max, but very friendly and laid back. Visited a couple of times (NOT when a cruise ship was in port, bad time to do anything Samoan). Tisa and Candyman are very friendly, passionately dedicated to preserving... More

The trip was over priced. Just road on a bus around the island. Then to Tisa's for lunch and swimming. Lunch was some of the local food and prepared in the ground with a fire. food was okay, I am sure they ran out before all on the tour were served. Two men had to be saved from the rough... More

If you're ever unfortunate enough to be ship-wrecked, and washed ashore. then this beach shack has to be the place to wake up! But if you're just passing through, this could be the ideal venue for a fun day out. On a fairly isolated island in the Western Pacific, Tisa offers genuine south-sea island hospitality, always with a smile, and... More

Had an awesome dinner and drinks. Called ahead and they were ready and waiting for us. Candy Man was there to greet us and made awesome scratch pina coladas. Tisa greeted us as well. The food was excellent and the ambiance and stories were a highlight of our trip.

We stopped by Tisa's on a Saturday afternoon. After seeing the brochure they distribute, I assumed this was a cruise ship tourist trap. Our visit only confirmed that assumption. If that's what you're looking for, this is your place.
