I wouldn't recommend this place. The food is okay, nothing special for the price. Too expensive and the service is not that good. They used to be good, I don't know what happened. Maybe new management... Go to their Honolulu restaurant. It's a lot better!

One of the few remaining old school local Japanese restaurants, the other being Gyotaku. Many "aunties" have been working decades here, dressed in their classic yukatas and graciously making you feel at home. Their teishoku dishes offer generous portions at reasonable prices, inclusive of miso soup, sashimi or oden, tempura, and your choice of a main. Their go-to is the... More

I have seen "Setsuko" start years ago at Kabuki. She was a nervous, scared and "bumbling waitress ". Over the years, I have watched her progress into an Awesome waitress. It's been so long since we had lunch at Kabuki Restaurant and Delicatessen. We adopted two dogs six years ago and my grandogs go where we go. Unfortunately, we can't... More

Food is very fresh and tasty. Especially like the corn beef hash patty, sushi, butterfish, gobo, and chow fun. Best on the island chow fun.

Kabuki restaurant in Aiea is hidden in a small shopping mall in Aiea, near Pearl City, Hawaii. It has been there for many decades and is a favorite of local residents. The food is great and the service is second to none. There are several Kabuki restaurants, but the one in Aiea is my favorite. My cousin and I dropped... More

The food here could be better. I ordered the teriyaki salmon and it had no taste. The prices are a little steep. I would recommend the Kabuki in town. Honolulu location on Kapiolani. Food taste better but steep prices. The shrimp tempura is good. The cashier seems a bit greedy. Don't expect a tip if the customer is taking out!... More

It is definitely a mom and pop joint that caters mostly to locals. The atmosphere inside is cozy. Teishoku is similar to a Bento, but more food. Some greens, tempura fried veggies and shrimp, sashimi or oden, and the main choice. The main choice can be fried scallops, butterfish, etc. It also comes with rice. The prices are reasonable and... Kabuki is mostly frequented by local residents who enjoy ample Japanese home cooked style meals. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but the food is ample and tasty. The atmosphere is that of family dining, and some of the furniture could use refurbishing. Try their fried scallop dinner, which comes with a side dish of sashimi and other pickled dishes and... I've been going to Kabuki for many years. I've had just about everything on the menu. The food is always consistent and tasty. I've never been disappointed. The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating. Service is quick. This is one of the best Japanese restaurants in the area!

A real okazuya that opens early and closes early, sometimes, when sold out. Bentos are a great value, with a hefty lot of food; there are 2 choices. My favorite has kimpira (gobo), shrimp tempura, spam, teri beef, on a bed of rice. Two can share easily. Great for picnics, work lunch, and whenever you are ono for Japanese delicatessen... More
