OK- it's totally unhealthy, full of gluten, warm and slathered in cream cheese and strawberry jam, but there was no way to stop eating it. The loaf was HUGE- more than enough for four hungry people. Getting the hot bread is an adventure- anyone in town can point you to the alley, which is a little sketchy, but it's Molokai,... More

We enjoyed the pastry, cookies, rolls and donuts at various functions around Molokai. The coffee is good .

This is really more than just a bakery. They also have tables with service where you can get a full breakfast. They serve both Hawaiian style food and western style. Staff is very pleasant and the portions are generous.

We got a loaf of the hot bread with butter and cinnamon the previous night(which was fresh if not that tasty) and decided to try their breakfast expecting some fresh baked goodies. The breakfast menu does not feature any baked items, so we ordered the standard eggs, bacon and potatoes which was not as good as we are used to... More

As you may have read online, this place has a [not-so-]secret night-time operation selling delicious loaves of hot bread from a window in the back of the bakery. Go down the small street to the right of the bakery and you'll see an alleyway with picnic tables. At the end of the alley is the window selling the bread. Each... More

We have been to Moloka'i twice now and had made friends the 1st time with some locals. We figured if we went to Kanemitsu we would find them again, and sure enough, we found them all there at one time or another! We went here every day for 6 days just to socialize with the natives and ended up making... More

As we had arrived at our condo later in the evening we drove into Kuanakakai to have breakfast and buy our groceries the next morning. We were told the bakery is a good place for not just bakery items but food as well. We had a filling breakfast and I loved the corned beef hash I had. (Note: If you... More

This bakery has good baked goods. We went twice, first on Sunday, afternoon, they didn't have a lot of products but we purchased a doughnut and some macadamia nut cookies and both were good. Monday afternoon we went and bought some wonderful "French" bread. It looked different but we made garlic bread out of it and it was great. Then... More

We were there on Dec 31. We asked for bread--we wanted it sliced but the girl at the counter said she was alone, and did not want to go to the back room where the slicer machine was. She also apologized because the bread is usually baked at night, but this bread was baked one hour before we came!! No... More
