Located in Wailuku, get there early and plan on waiting a bit. (Be sure to sign the wait list). Order something with noodles (with wonton, or soup) and expect lots to eat. This place is also know for their masadas.

Local style on Maui begins and ends here. All the island favorites are done perfectly. WHAT? Zippy's for saimin? The saimin here is double-fantastic: get extra hot mustard: you might run out. And the four-way Chinese combo plate? Egg foo-young with veggies, sweet-sour spare ribs and char-siu all on one plate!! If "local-style" is your thing, then here is your... More

Looked up local eateries and this place topped the list. Well known to locals for dry noodles, saimin and manju, this family owned business does its reputation justice. I went the first time with a golf buddy after finishing up at King Kamehameha, ordered the dry noodles while my friend had saimin. The noodles were excellent and my friend throughly... More

We've been waiting to go here since reading about it on Trip Adviser & we weren't disappointed. My wife got the Beef Tomato which came with two scoops of white rice & one scoop of Mac salad, like I said Hawaiian flare. The Mac salad was simple elbow macaroni and mayo and the rice was rice as in bland. However... More

This place is a regular stop for lunch for my family and me! I've been coming here since I was little and the quality has always been great.

We stopped by for lunch to this local hot spot and were delighted with the variety and quality of items on the menu. The numerous local patrons is evidence of this. The dry noodles are a must along with the meat sticks (chicken & beef satay). My brother had the combo plate which gives you a tasty variety. On the... More

This place is worth searching out and waiting for a table. Family run and owned. The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and able to guide first timers such as us. Dry noodles are amazing

Enjoyed the hospitality & service from the people there. We had traditional local breakfast, including the banana pancake..the pancake was delicious & just enough sweetness. I'd go back again to try the lunch menu.

Sam Sato's is truly a classic, Not many classic's left on Maui, time goes by and they all close up and retire, sell out, live the good life here. It's sad but well earned. I go to Sato's at least 3 times a month just for the Dry Mein, so tasty. The bbq beef sticks are amazing and the Wonton... More

Cash only and opens till 2 pm everyday, Not open on Sunday in case you want to squeeze in a second visit. We stumbled into this place when searching for a ramen place nearby. However, this place is best known for "Dry Noodles". When I read someone else' review saying he lived in California but didn't mind flying back 5.5... More
