After our whale watch, we stopped at the Pioneer Inn for burgers and fries. Wide variety of menu at reasonable price. Food was good and location was nice.

Funny. Read a previous review and the person raved about the fish and chips. We had been here previously and they were great. We were both disappointed this trip. The fish was good. The batter was like rubber. Fries are out of a bag. Frozen...More

We enjoyed our two night stay at PI. During such a busy time of year (spring break) we were able to still get a room reserved. They let us pick which room we preferred, a choice of the street or the banyan tree was open...More

Nice location across from banyan tree. Pleasant service average food and price for the area. We actually ate once for lunch and once for breakfast. I would give the fish n chips a 4 Star and breakfast a 2+ so I rated them a 3....More

This is a great spot for any meal - breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Located in the Best Western Pioneer next to banyan Tree Park, the food and service is not great but always good.

The weather in February and March is close to perfect -- shorts and sandals. It is our favorite time to visit primarily for the humpback whales.

Enjoy Breakfast, Lunch, Happy Hour and Dinner at the historic Pioneer Inn Grill and Bar. Breakfast favorites include macadamia nut pancakes, loco moco and huevos rancheros in addition to healthy favorites like oatmeal or yogurt with fresh fruit. For lunch and dinner we offer the freshest fish, Maui grown burgers and steaks and a full range of small plates including hearts of Romaine caesar salad, seared ahi and kahlua pig sliders. The historic whalers saloon is the perfect place to watch the fishing boats come in with their catch while enjoying one of our Mai tais or another tropical favorite. We offer local draft beer and know that you will find our resident African gray parrot entertaining.
