Great plate lunch here! Prices are decent and it is a nice local spot to eat among the resort area. You can dine in or carry out. Can get busy at times around lunch and dinner but worth it

Attempting to seek value for money, fresh, quality food in Lahaina, we researched madly & located this unassuming local/Chinese food venue. Service is excellent; Food absolutely delicious. We ordered from the special board: Hawaiian style Pork dish & the seafood mixed plate from the regular menu. Pork 'gravy' was an Asian spice taste sensation & meat was so tender. Fish... More

This place has decent plate lunches/dinners. The mac salad is good and the choices are plenty. We had to wait longer than they told us we would have to but the food was hot and worth the wait. We tried kalua pork, garlic shrimp, and bbq chicken. It was a decent dinner.

Kept driving past this restaurant and decided to stop for dinner. Food was plentifull and had that Hawaiian flavour other places have lost. Only small with a few tables and a family feel. By far the cheapest meal we have had on Maui! Would recommend you give it a try. Garlic shrimp and fish platter the best.

So this unassuming little "hole-in-the-wall" option offers absolutely DELICIOUS food, period. My mouth starts watering at the thought of visiting Ono Kau Kau. My husband and I start laughing during our plane ride over to Maui about how quickly we can get off the plane and drive to Ono Kau Kau - I'm serious. The last couple of Maui visits... More

I had read somewhere that this was a good local joint. It is on the first floor of what looked to be at some point someone's house, but it has been adapted for a restaurant. The young man at the counter (you can dine-in or take-out) immediately greeted us and gave us a table. The menu is quite long, and... More

We got the hamburger steak with orange chicken, and the loco moco. Large portions, good sticky rice and macaroni "mac" salad. The food was cooked to order and service was quick. Also got spam musubi, which is must try if you are unfamiliar.

Always difficult to determine how to rate a neighborhood, family run, working class restaurant in comparison to trendy resort area places. Really an apples and oranges deal. That said , we'll push on and give the Ono Kay Kay a four as it does a good job of being a neighborhood, lower priced place specializing in Chinese and local food.... More

Soo.. the dining area is not charming- it is warm, a little dingy and small. The food makes up for this. We picked up some food one night because it was walking distance from the condo and we didn't feel like going out or cooking our own. I cant vouch for every dish but the kalua pork, Lau lau and...
