it's nothing fancy which is why i love it. Ba-Le does a lot of different styles of asian cuisine and really nails the Vietnamese items on it's extensive menu.

We came in for some vegeterian dishes since they have a whole list of it but couldn't order the dish we wanted since it was not available, maybe a line crossing out that dish would help customers to decide to come in or pass. Need more smile and less cold service as customers come in. Sorry but we will not... More

I'm from Los Angeles so definitely adjust my rating for this type of cuisine when outside my home city. In LA, I would have lowered the rating for this restaurant. But in Maui, I would give it a solid 3. We had lunch here on the last day we were flying out at the end of our vacation. We had... More

Located right next to Safeway, it's a good place to pick up a quick bite when you're shopping. We find the quality and ambience inferior to their store in Wailuku.

Had the special saimin - it was okay but definitely not the best saimin I've ever had. This place has a good variety of choices but nothing special.

After reading a blogger's review of "local" Maui restaurants, we stopped at Ba-Le for dinner. Our first clue that this was not going to be good was the fact that Ba-Le is basically a fast food joint in a strip mall. We ordered the lemon grass chicken sandwich (which was raved about by the blogger) and the special saimin. The... More

We stopped here for a quick lunch while on a shopping expedition! My cousin has eaten here several times and loves it! We shared a Lemongrass Chicken sandwich. Topping it off with a chocolate tapioca dessert and a caramel flan. No frills here, just honest good food...

Growing up on Oahu, we had Ba-Le which made FANTASTIC french/vietnamese sandwiches. I don't know if the ones on Oahu served pho or other vietnamese dishes, but the one in Kihei does. Terrible pho and saimin. Probably better just to walk over to the L&L right next door.

The lemongrass chicken Bahn Mi was really flavorful. Great bread. I've had better pho but that's about the worst I can say. For food court food you'll struggle to find better.

Oh boy. I got some shrimp spring rolls at Bale earlier today, and had gnarly experience. When I bit into the second one, I noticed a crunchiness in my mouth and lo and behold I was eating a finger nail. Ho tanks ah. If I would have been eating there in the restaurant I would have snapped. So fricken disgusting.
