The host, Taylor, seemed sincere in his efforts to get us a table; we did not have a reservation. He said that it might be an hour; it was less than 30 minutes. He gave updates along the way and helped us pass the time....You do have to be present; you cannot leave your phone number/name and leave. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. I enjoyed the unique food selections - this is billed as a Ramen restaurant. The 3 of us agreed that this was our best meal - even our 'foodie'. All of these things will bring me back, but the crown jewel is the beautiful garden setting with mountain views! Wonderful.More

Sister restaurant to Bar Acuda, this place also did not disappoint. My favorite restaurant in Kauai: 1) Bar Acuda 2) AMA These two are by far the two best restaurants to eat on the island and it’s not even close. AMA’s pork buns are so...delicious. The papaya salad is absolutely delicious and the portion is like a true dinner salad. We wanted to try all of their ramen’s but only had so much room in our stomach! Make reservations and don’t make the mistake that we made with a two hr wait. It’s was worth it but we will make reservations next time.More

We came for the ramen, but loved the bao buns as well as the ahi tuna bowl! Getting a reservation was impossible on our one free night so we arrived at 4:45 just before the 5 PM opening. Kindly host seated those with reservations, and...then we got lucky! Super assortment of on tap beers as well as outstanding cocktails. Chose the mai tai that used Trader Vic’s 1940s recipe. Delicious. Gorgeous sunset. Cheery staff and crowd. We were not rushed but we ordered quickly and did not linger so others could enjoy.More

Terrific food and service. Nice setting and outdoor dining. The ramen was great, and they had rice noodles for our GF family members. The brussel sprouts were amazing too!

Got here shortly after they opened to get name on walk-up list (for a very few non-reservable spots) and it was worth the 35-minute wait. The view of the North Shore mountains from the grassy park-like area behind the covered dining room (with a fire...pit, no less) was plenty to make the wait pleasant. But once seated and dining, it was the Brussels sprouts that erased any awareness of biding time—they were To. Die. For. Truly one of the best things I have ever eaten! Lightly flash-fried until just crisp, sauteed in an Asian vinaigrette with pickled shallots, chilies and fried garlic. I swear they tasted like candy. The Oyakodon ramen bowl with a grilled chicken skewer was also delicious, as was my Francisco cocktail -- spendy at $15 (Hawaii drink prices are up there), but this blend of El Silencia Mezcal, lime juice, ginger syrup, orgeat and frothy egg white left me feeling very happy. If reservations weren't so darn hard to get here, I would return a couple more times during our stay. I'll know to book well ahead next time. Service was friendly and efficient, too, from host to bar staff to server. A++.More

Incredible experience, great food, great server, BUT terrible manager. Honestly the server couldn’t have been better, neither could the food. But the manager despite a a major meal felt the need to urge us out of the restaurant when we couldn’t have eaten faster. We’ve...been going here since it opened and would love to rate the restaurant top notch if it weren’t for the sour taste the manager left. Hope they solve it.More

We love this restaurant. Come here every trip, and look forward to it as a family. One of my favorite restaurants , hands down. Tonight was no exception/ the food and the service were exceptional. The only bummer is the small minded, zero customer service...manager. After a major meal for a large party, with plenty of food and drinks and no loitering on our part, he basically chased us up and out of the restaurant for his other reservations, who are “hungry”. Talk about throwing a wet blanket on a great evening. AMA is awesome! This goof ball isn’t, though. Maybe there’s an Olive Garden or Pizza Hut in Kapa’a that needs a manager, but AMA is way over his head. 5 stars despite this goober!More

Unbelievably beautiful setting, well placed charm make this a memorable evening. Difficult to get seating b/c it is so popular. Reso for four much easier than for two (which is over a month out!). Ramen was quite good, flavorful, service very friendly. Bao buns were...tender and delicious too. Donuts for dessert were over the top, of course! Do visit here, I believe they are partners with BarAcuda.More

I do not know. Most restaurants will allow you to, but charge a hefty corkage fee. Best to check directly with the restaurant.
