We had read your reviews and wanted to go there. People were nice. Enjoyed that. We ordered drinks and brussel sprouts. Drinks fair and brussel sprouts very good. We ordered different fish dinners that had been recommended by the waiter. They were average. Not bad, but not good. . We all were very disappointed in that part of the meal.... More

We had the best meal of surf/turf, beef short rib was so tender it melt in your mouth and the butterfish was so wonderful and flavorful. The au gratin potato was also delicious. Also part of the order was an appetizer of spicy ahi roll and potsticker. The flying Dragon roll is a must. The presentation was awesome and also... More

Seriously. Just go here and get the ahi and butterfish! You will thank me!! I am from south Florida and eat seafood all the time, yet the butterfish was seriously, the best fish and top 5 best dishes I've ever, EVER, eaten. Go now!! You will not regret it!!

Our waiter, David made our first trip to Roy's a super enjoyable evening. His recommendations were all top notch! The food was fantastic, drinks outstanding and the chocolate soufflé deserts were to die for! Will be back again...very soon!

My wife and I visited Roy's again and we were not disappointed. We went at 5:30 to take advantage of the Happy hour prices having a Mai Tai and Chardonnay. We also had the butterfish appetizer and the fiery duo of firecracker shrimp and short ribs. Both were very good. We shared a farmers salad which was basically greens and... More

We did not pick this restaurant, our group did. Very underwhelmed. First time in Hawaii, I had a tasteless Mahi Mahi. The chocolate soufflé was better but only barely. Too highly priced for poor to average food.

Having enjoyed on previous trips to the big island, we returned to find what was once excellent is now just good. Nothing wrong with the food, but it's not special. Crab cakes were good good as was the butterfish but it was overly salty as was spicey prawn dish. Poke was good. Coffee cake was very dense, dry and ordinary.... More

I have now been to Roy's in pebble beach Chicago and Waikoloa Village -- all had excellent food but Waikoloa Village had the weakest service

We typically love Roy's in maui and Chicago etc but there was no ambiance it charm whatsoever here. Food was mediocre and service confiding and sloppy. We were very disappointed and bummed as its pricey and we felt we wasted a night out

Great food and service as always. Love my chocolate souffle and ribs appetizer. Roy's closed their Atlanta location during the recession, which was a major disappointment. I was happy to visit here in Hawaii.
