Everything about the luau was outstanding. The only drawback is that it is not on the ocean sand like past luaus Thani have attended. Plenty of food. Floor plan is laid out so that everyone can see the show. They had all the children come up to the front right by the stage so that's they were able to enjoy... More

Go for the day and enjoy the Hilton's Lagoon and spectacular views. We purchased the $30 preferred seating upgrade, and I recommend it. The table service for drinks was helpful, plus the view was much better up front. Line up at 5pm for the best seats. I couldn't find a discount so the tickets were $329 for two after tax.... More

I agree with another reviewer...I'm in Hawaii for the first time so a luau is a must right? Glad I went but I don't need to see this one again. Yes, there was bountiful food, but it wasn't outstanding. They did offer a separate kids' buffet (some of the adults apparently couldn't wait for the adult buffet to open so... More

Hundreds of people at large luau at the Hilton Waikoloa. They handled the crowd well. Drinks served quickly and often. Food pretty good for a high volume buffet. Shredded pork was excellent. Show was hokey, but did get to understand how to translate "hula" into words.

I went with my husband and two boys (8 &11). It was entertaining and we all enjoyed the performances. The host reminded my husband of an Elvis impersonator. The kids loved the fire dancers. The Buffett was ok and did offer a variety of food options including a children's Buffet. We found the food very salty. The pork was shredded... More

The Hilton does a fabulous job with their luau. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the show put on by the beautiful men and woman of the Big Island. Food was a buffet with lots of options including a great bar with local cocktails. The staff are wonderful and friendly. A must do.

Went with the family and had a decent time. There is a lot of cultural stuff that's a bit dry before you get to the fire dancing which is well worth it. The food is so/so not worth the price at all, if you can get there right away you don't need the VIP tickets. We sat right by the... More

The Legends of Hawaii Luau was awesome! The show’s MC was entertaining and all the performances were fascinating, especially the fire shows at the end. The food was good and drinks a plenty.

The large and crowded luau is definitely worth the price for the entertainment, especially the Hawaiian dancers. The buffet food is mostly forgettable -- the shredded pork is the highlight.

Banquet with far too much food. Lots of sweet bar concoctions keep flowing throughout dinner and the show. Upgrade for Ali'i seating which situated you closer to the stage and provides attentive bar service and first access to the scrumptious buffet. The show is moving, mesmerizing and exciting. One of the highlights of our stay.
