Aloha! So happy you filled your empty tummies and got some good replenishing calories. And Albert's sauces are all house made using mostly veggies so it's all good! Mahalo for writing a Review. Lorna

We ate here on New Year's Eve with a group of 6. Given the crowd the service was really good. The food choices are sparse for vegetarians, especially kosher ones (the only seafood dish was shrimp-they were out of fish). The food we got ranged...More

Excellent (rare) duck breast, gourmet menu, but also gourmet prices. Obviously a great chef. Also gluten-free items.

We actually weren’t expecting too much so were really impressed with our lunch of the Volcano Loco Moco and the Curry Chicken Bowl. This place is reasonably priced for a tourist area and the setting in the restaurant is lovely. Our server Roderick (we think...More

Shopping in the store, lunch at the restaurant, with a delightful server was some time perfect for our windy rainy day! We got to see smoke off in the distance, and relax.

Happy New Year! and thank you for taking the time to write a Review. Glad you liked it all...but the German potato salad. My husband is German and I think it's his Oma's recipe. I love it....but it's all an individual taste. Mahalo Lorna

My husband jokingly said no puka pants and shirt. Actually we just advise casual elegance (jeans Clean shirt ) a lot of our diners come off the trail so fancy is not required. But honestly we even see fur wraps sometimes

Description
Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere. Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.
