We went in to Black Rock on a chilly morning. They had the Interior temp set at meat locker levels with A/C on full bore. Asked manger to turn it down; and he refused. We sat down took a quick look at the menu and left for warmer climes. Not sure how they stay in business. At 11am only three... More

We were told to sit anywhere so we did and we waited...and waited. We were about to leave when she showed up with menus and water so we ordered. The food was mediocre at best. Hubs had the admiral platter and I had the fish platter. Neither were very good, quite disappointing actually. The macaroni salad had potatoes in it... More

Had a great lunch with my family including a 3 & a 5 year old. Good food, great service and good value. Big thanks to our server who works 12 to 4. I did not get your name.

The Black Rock cafe is a beautiful country diner. The staff and food are excellent. We stayed just across the street at an AirBnB and treated ourselves to a big breakfast here for a day of adventuring. The food is great (there are tons of options), prices are very affordable, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the vibe was... More

My experience here gave the impression this restaurant is more for the locals than passers by. The menu offers several ethnic flavors and the food was average once it arrived. However, understaffed and half full at lunch, our waiter seemed very overwhelmed. I watched as the locals, even those who came in behind us, were served, and then we got... More

Stopped here on the way back from our sunrise Lava viewing tour - great hearty breakfast and nice service. Good value. Basic place but warm welcome and very friendly locals.

There was nothing remarkable about this cafe except that it was convenient. Food was good and plentiful.

Have been going to Black Rock for years. Low cost coffee shop with convenient parking. One of their greatest points is that they use locally raised grass fed beef. Very few places can claim that here. The food is reasonably good and the wait staff is friendly they also have a bar which occasionally has live entertainment.
