The food was fine, we tried a salad, a wrap, a burger, some pastries and ice cream. We loved the coconut ice cream but they call it Haupia. The Malasadas were delicious. The wrap, burger and salad were average. Cashier didn't crack a smile, and...More

It was busy with tourists but the line moved quickly. The malasada handler was pleasant but the cashier was unfriendly which was unfortunate since this is a small town where you would expect a friendlier vibe or at least a smile. Malasadas are just ok...More

This is so obviously for tourists. Tour buses come in and out. But the malasadas (creme filled Portuguese donuts) were to die for!!!! We had lunch here and happened to hit in between buses; we understand you can stand in line for a while. Our...More

We stop here every time we are on the island as we drive from Kona to Volcano National park. It is about 80 min from Kona and is a much needed break after those curvy roads. We have eaten here as well as grabbed some...More

After exploring Volcano National Park and the nearby Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, this was the perfect place to stop for a pick-me-up. Everything is made fresh here. The bread is outstanding - buy a long loaf to make sandwiches for a beach picnic later! And...More

After exploring Ka`u we needed a place for lunch and this spot was excellent. Beware of tour buses as you will end up in a long line to order if you happen to arrive when they do. Otherwise not very busy, great variety of food...More

Wonderful stop on this part of the island to get some food and use the clean toilet facilities. The people at the shop were friendly. We enjoyed some of the pastries (the malsadas were excellent!) and the sandwiches on their fresh baked sweetbread. The Southernmost...More

Awesome little bakeshop with treats, sandwiches, etc. Their sweet bread is delicious but you HAVE to get some maladadas, especially the Bismarck! It's like a delicious little handheld Boston cream pie....but better.

On the way to volcano national park, you are doing a disservice by not stopping. We got a tuna sandwich and lilikoi sweet bread. Everything was incredible. The smell in the parking lot was worth stopping.
