From the moment we walked in the door it was like magic greeted by a wonderful local girl whom made us feel like family. Table would not be ready for a ew minutes so we sat at the bar and again we were treated like old friends by our bar tender Gina who you the way is magician behind the... More

Cool woodpanel and beamed walls, nicely flavored and raw or cooked fish vegetables (and, i would guess) meats. We had sushi or sashimi, soups and salads. Saw a tropical deluge through the frosted or etched glass panels above the entrance doors. Formerly an Alpine restaurant. Its rpthen owner was eating lunch there too. Great for couples friends families or business.... More

We found the Red Water Cafe last year and returned again on our vacation this year. This place is fabulous. The food is delicious and memorable. We went on a Saturday which is "rib night". My husband had the ribs and I had the fish (Mongchon) I don't know how to spell it but it was amazing. The salads and... More

This is the second time I've eaten at Red Water Café. I consider it one of the best restaurants on the island. The layout and décor make for a really comfortable dining experience - which can be tricky when you're a party of one. The entrees I saw being delivered to the tables were huge. They had one of my... We went to the Red Water Cafe based on the excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. We felt welcomed from the first interaction with the hostess. Our waiter was great with his vivid descriptions of the specials. The food was delicious. We recommend Red Water highly!

We based our initial decision to eat there due to positive reviews on TA. We started with specialty cocktails which were great and unique. I had a red martini and my SO had a lavender cocktail with gin st. Germain and lime juice. Both yummy. We followed that with the local catch ono which was super and a tasty seafood... More

Add Red Water Café to one of our top restaurants on the Big Island. We LOVE the food. The sushi is top notch with huge rolls. The fish specials are always super fresh and wonderful. And the treat for Saturday nights is the guava smoked pork ribs. YUMMMM!! Still thinking about them. If you are a wine lover, the list... More

This restaurant may be one of Waimea's best kept secrets. With a much more "local" clientele than Merriman's (just up the road), Red Water Cafe delivers an incredibly fresh and flavorful meal that is a great value. Our table of 4 enjoyed 3 mixed drinks and and Iced Tea, starters for each of us and 4 entrees - all for... More

Excellent food. Jazz on Friday nights by the Red Water Trio. They serve sushi, fish, meat, and some wok dishes (incl vegetarian). Erdinger on tab. The food is very tasty and has good presentation. Service is friendly and attentive, albeit slow - but we were there to enjoy the evening, listen to music, and eat. And that was all good!

We ate lunch here en route to Kona. Situated in a smallish town, it was the most interesting looking restaurant that we found. The staff are very friendly and the cafe has a fun, quirky vibe. Try the fish sandwich with scrumptious Asian slaw. Very nice p,ace, big portions.
