My family and I were searching for somewhere to have breakfast in Hilo. Kuhio Grille seemed like a place that we all could enjoy and it was very close to the mall. We sat outside just as a waitress was clearing a table. She was very pleasant and quick to get us menus. She even suggested us to look at... More

The food here is great. The staff is friendly. They remember you and treat you like family. Wait time isn't that long.

If you visit Hawaii, make sure to try real Hawaiian traditional food. This is a great spot for it. Our waitress was so welcoming and warm; she bought a special sauce for us to try. You should know that the plates are big.

The food here is excellent! I had the one pound laulau with poi and the laulau tasted like the ones my father and I used to make - so ono and brought back good memories! I tasted the food that the rest of my family ordered and it was all good too. Besides the great food, the service was amazing.... More

My husband and I had dinner at the Kuhio Grille in Hilo so that we could try the local dish, Laulau. The menu is large and has a diverse assortment of meal selections. The wait staff are very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our visit. The laulau is a local favorite pork dish that is steamed in taro leaves.... More

You can't leave Hilo without visiting this place, they might not have the best laulau on the island but they served the best chicken skin for appetizer,

great food, excellent service and some great specials! Been here multiple times and can always vouch for the quality of their asian-hawaiian selections. Their fried rice is probably the best in town and their world famous Loco Moco the best anywhere! Please try the Fried Rice Loco Moco and see if you can finish it! :-)

They give you a lot of food, but unfortunately I wasn't a fan of mine. I ordered the grilled Ono, and it was over coked and dry. My husband ordered the pig, and though it tasted good, was very salty and the portion size just too large. I helped him eat it since I didn't like my fish. They say... More

You will not walk away hungry from here. Great food. Great homemade salad dressing that you can buy to take home.
