American-style, 24-hour diner with a Hawaiian twist has macadamia-nut pancakes, burgers & stews. Located in Hilo is the main city on the Big Island, we were there several times. Ken's House of Pancakes has become something of a Big Island landmark for tourists and locals...More

We were advised by hotel staff that this place is a local favourite to eat at & they were not wrong. Place was very busy but did not take long to get a table. Heaps of menu options available but I went straight for the...More

Living on the west side for over 25 years, I don’t find myself in Hilo very often at 3:15 am seeking coffee and a snack. We were heading on a lava tour and needed coffee and water. The tour operator also recommended having a snack...More

Cute place to stop and eat. Their menu is huge so whatever you want you can pretty much get. The food was pretty good and they had a lot of vegetarian options as well. Decently priced for Hawaii.

If you have read any of my previous restaurant reviews, then you will know how much we enjoy pancakes. So it was no surprise we choose to stop off at Ken’s on our way to the Volcano’s NP. We had already sampled the American Diner,...More

From Banana pancakes to Kalua Pork with Cabbage and Rice, I loved the local food. I was born and raised on Oahu so this was comfort food for me! Reasonable priced and always busy so you know the food is good!

I ordered #28 mushroom gravy burger, which has been a long-standing popular item for many who grew up in Hilo. My experience was marred by the fact that there was mold on my bun. If you do order this, be sure to request the burger...More

I'm not sure of the average price, because they have tons of options. It is a family restaurant, but prices at any restaurant in Hawaii generally are higher than many places on the mainland.
