Not impressed by the pizza...it was a little soft for my liking and not that usual crispyness you get from a wood oven pizza. They also got the toppings on my pizza wrong which was weird because I only got pepperoni and  mushroom and that...More

Being Gluten Free this was a great place to eat. Recommended by our concierge at Sheraton Kona and it was awesome. Have amazing pizzas which my hubby had (not gluten free) but the salad with chicken in a fruit sauce was the best I’d had...More

While Hubs and I were touring the Tsunami Museum in downtown Hilo, we decided that our tummies were rumbling enough to cause a minor tidal wave of their own, so we started thinking about lunch. I (with my good hearing) overheard two ladies talking about...More

Stopped in for lunch while visiting the island. It was not very busy, I think because it was between lunch and dinner. Nice menu offerings and local beer on draft. We sat by the window and were able to see out to the ocean and...More

We had the luau pizza. Kailua pork, onions and pineapple. I could see a little pork but I couldn’t taste it. Just the onions and garlic. I gave several pieces to a homeless man. He seemed to enjoy it.

Asked at a local shop where to go for lunch and Cafe Pesto was recommended. Clean place with a pleasant atmosphere. Crab cakes were excellent and the mains of smoked salmon and chicken, both on pasta, great. Mains looked small but were very filling.

Good location in downtown Hilo near the Farmer's Market. We both had the fish sandwich. The fish of the day was mahi mahi. It was delicious grilled, served on a sweet Hawaiian bun with a yummy pesto cream sauce.

We stopped into Cafe Pesto after the sunset atop Mauna Kea. This is large open restaurant in a storefront facing Hilo Bay. The service was prompt, helpful and friendly. The wood-fired pizzas were very tasty with the freshest ingredients. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

We recently had lunch at the Café Pesto in Hilo, the first time at this location, though we'd been to the Kawaihae location many times. It was rather late for lunch, but still a very busy spot on Sunday afternoon. The dining room is rustic...More
