Maybe the best we’ve had in the islands so far. Quality food, well prepared and thoughtful. Not overloaded with sauces and sides. And great wine and beer list. Beautiful room in former bank. And the service was really engaging. We’re here a couple more days....More

The kalua spring rolls are amazing. We also ordered the fish and chips. They were just ok, but the fish special was really good. The waitress was very pleasant.

We live in Hilo and frequent Jackie Rey's. The pork chop is seriously the best I've ever eaten! The cocktails are imaginative, good wine and beer list and the desserts are insane. We really enjoy the atmosphere which is always festive and service is friendly...More

Back again at Jackie Rey’s in Hilo after a 2 year hiatous. Even better than before in an old bank building. Generous space between tables. Convenient downtown location. Street parking only. Very friendly place. This restaurant is fancier than the Jackie Rey’s in Kona, perhaps...More

Based on reviews on this and other sites, I planned to stop at Jackie Rey's on Black Friday during our three day hiatus to the Big Island from Oahu, where we live. The great reviews are deserved! The inside of this historic building is what...More

It is a nice restaurant in an old bank with high ceilings and large windows. Their service and food were great with nightly specials as tasty cocktails. Would definitely recommend.

While on vacation we stopped at Jackie Rey’s. We got there during happy hour so be aware dinner starts at 5 p.m. But it was worth the wait as the food was excellent and the presentation was great. The waitress was helpful and was friendly...More

Fun setting in a old bank building. Food was good, appetizer portions were small for pricing paid. We enjoyed the pupu platter, clam chowder, chicken tacos, salad plates and the baby back ribs. Service was quick and efficient. Seems like a really nice place to...More

Jackie Rey's Ohana Grill is a casual local's joint featuring fresh seafood, steaks, pasta and a variety of salads at affordable prices. The restaurant (named after our daughter) is the culmination of much hard work and the dedication of ourselves and our crew. We invite you to be our guests and experience great food and old fashioned hospitality, island style. Jackie Rey's Ohana Grill (Hilo) is located in the Historic Kaikodo building in downtown Hilo on the Big Island. The building was constructed in 1907 as the Hilo Masonic Lodge Hall. The Kaikodo restaurant space, that houses Jackie Rey's, was formerly the Bank of Hilo and there still exist the bank vault where we hide misbehaving children (just kidding). The restaurant also has a beautifully crafted 150 year old English bar and 200 year old Chinese wood/glass doors in our dining room. Come dine with us and experience true island hospitality in a historic setting. Angie and Paul-Proprietors of your Local Ohana Grill. Established in Kona 2004 and 2016 in Hilo.
