Reservations are key. Then, make yourself a note to call at 3pm the day of your reservation to request a table on the patio. The apps were awesome. We loved the focaccia bread and the onion rings were a sight to see, but even better to eat. The steak with bernaise sauce was perfect. The pork shank was generous, tender, and tasty. The staff seemed to be very diligent in their Covid efforts as well. Two apps, two entrees, dessert, and one drink was $150 including tax and tip. The service was impeccable.

We were a party of 7 from the same household which we stated previously and ate together at all other establishments. We were separated here as the restaurant claimed the other restaurants were not following guidelines and they were. Direct quote from seventh continuation of Teton county health orders effective July 1st through 15th. "Tables must be limited to groups of 6, preferably the same household, however, a business may make exceptions for groups greater than 6 if the group is solely comprised of members of the same household." So, they ignored us after multiple requests and sat our children at a separate table. Choosing to separate us because they cannot read an order is unacceptable. The order also stated that gloves must be worn for serving and handling food, which I could care less but they were not and other restaurants were following this rule. So pick and choose which rules to follow and don't interpret them the right way..nice. Now to the food which was very good overall. The tartar pizza was probably my favorite dish as an appetizer. I also like the veal meatballs as side dish. The trout special was good but not great. One of the kids really enjoyed the short rib and the steaks were also nice. We tried to ignore the fact that our family was split up but it was awkward.

So, the staff was very professional and well masked. We were seated and politely told all of the rules of the restaurant. The key rule was to wear our masks if we left our table, for any reason. Gina was very clear in that explanation, but there was ZERO enforcement of that policy or even a reminder given to those breaking that rule. We were between two tables of people that arrived together. One table of 4 and one table of 3. The women at the table of 4 continued to walk unmasked, time and time again, to the other table, sometimes while picking at the food that one woman carried. One spent time walking around the other table taking pictures. The female at the table of three also walked by us twice as she visited the other table. Multiple servers and management observed this and nothing, at all, was done in an attempt to limit or eliminate it. For such a professional and popular restaurant, we were disappointed with the lack of enforcement.

My husband and I are from MD and are spending our first time in Jackson Hole. For our last dinner we decided to splurge and go to Snake River Grill. As soon as we got there (Monday Night at 5:30) we were asked if we had reservations and we did not. The host made us feel bad for not having reservations and sat us at the worst spot ever, to the side of the fireplace (so you couldn’t see it) and in the center of the aisle way. Our waitress was nice initially until my husband ordered just a pizza... she repetitively kept pushing my husband to get other items on the menu. Not just once, but over and over... in which case he said no he just wanted the pizza (I ordered a Cesar salad and tuna which was 54.00 in total alone). Since that moment on we got treated like scum since my husband didn’t order more than one thing. The waitress was inattentive and cold shouldering us (especially since she had two other four top tables that would obviously come out to be a bigger bill). Our wine was great, the Cesar salad was half of a romaine head (for 14.00), husbands pizza was huge and good, my tuna for 40.00 was small and just okay... we got two desserts which were great. Bill came to around 136.00 for two of us. Probably won’t ever come back.. too much money for not that much food and for the waitress to be rude/cold towards us.

This visit reminded me of the reason why we stayed away from SRG for over a decade. All those years and it's still overrated. Even my colleague who just went the weekend before me for a date night with her husband mentioned how dry and unimpressive her duck dish was. She said "thank goodness we had a gift certificate, otherwise what a waste of money that would've been". My ravioli was not only tiny, but boring, topped with burnt unidentifiable veggies, my self taught father-in-law makes far superior homemade pasta. The creme brulee caramelized sugar topping was way too thick, overpowering any lavender flavor that was meant to be present in the custard, and the dessert wasn't freshly torched as it should be. The service was good, until they wanted you to leave, they kept wanting to clear our plates before we were finished. The truffle fries were ok, more dry than crisp, I've had better in other restaurants around town. Same with my cocktail. That's just the thing, Jackson has so many GREAT restaurants, my husband and I dine out on a weekly basis and SRG doesn't shine a light when compared to all the other places we frequent. Save your money and go to Jacksons many other wonderful establishments. SRG is where the millionaire-billionaires who don't know how to cook, go.

We had reservations for my husband’s 60th birthday as we heard it was the best restaurant in town. Sadly disappointed. The foie gras doesn’t come with any bread - so you have to pay for the $8 focaccia appetizer (and they didn’t bring or offer the cheese that was to come with it). The bison ribeye was meh. The big disappointment was the service. The waiter never came by to pick up the empty champagne glasses. And for the “birthday dessert- it was about a quarter of a scoop of ice cream. This was after I confirmed they would be bringing out a small cake. (See the photo) Save your $$ and go to one of the many other great places to eat in Jackson.

Upon the recommendation of two different groups, we settled for a late reservation because we thought it would be worth the wait. It wasn't. While the staff and ambiance were great, the food missed on many notes. The tartare pizza, their signature app, was so overpowered by a citrus flavor, you couldn't enjoy the tartare. The bison ribeye was basic in presentation, lacked flavor, and the meat was filled with gristle. For $58, I expected much more from this dish. Other guests tried the salmon special which was served lukewarm, while another had the lamb shank which was overly fatty. Our caesar salads, drinks, and date appetizer were the highlights of the night. For our most expensive meal of our trip, it was by far the most disappointing.

Visited with friends. We sat outside in a tented area which was nice. The Restaurant does allow BYOB for a cork fee, which is a plus. But the praise ends there. the only steak on the menu is a hanger steak, the filet mignon is gone. We ordered apple pie with ice cream for dessert -but the pie arrived cold-very odd. The food was average. We have been to this restaurant many times before but no more.

This place has a huge reputation. So many people have recommended we try Snake River Grill. It is supposedly the best restaurant in town (if not the State of Wyoming). And, they do have a beautiful website. It took us months of trying to finally get a reservation, and we were so excited when we finally scored one. Boy, what a let down. First of all, we found it to be so crowded and noisy. The tables are packed together very tightly (not what is portrayed on the website). We were seated at a rickety table that looked liked it had been brought in from outside and jammed in between two very large tables (parties of 6 and 8) all very loud and drinking. There was a toddler at a booth very near us who was banging his knife on his plate (very loudly) and screaming. It was sad because in the booth next to the misbehaving toddler there was an older very dressed-up couple who appeared to be celebrating something special or trying to (they didn't look happy or like they were being well attended to). On the website, the restaurant claims that they are operating with Covid-19 protocols, but I am skeptical. We found this to be an extremely crowded, raucous environment even by pre-Covid standards. The service was nothing special (basically what you'd get at an Applebees) and rather slow (table wasn't ready when we arrived, the greeting wasn't particularly friendly, and we had to wait 10 minutes seated at our table before anyone acknowledged us or brought us water). We didn't stay (got up after about 15 minutes and left). I didn't get a chance to taste the food, but it looked very ordinary. Onion rings, steak and fish smothered in sauce, etc. The desert pastries appeared tiny. The only thing that looked extraordinary here were the prices. Whew. The prices on the menu are sky high. My guess is that this place has seen better days and now lives off its name (cramming the tourists in). Not the fine dining experience we were eagerly anticipating. Consider instead Four Seasons or Amangani for fine dining in Jackson Hole.

The room was elegantly appointed and the service was excellent. The food did not match. We had the fois gras torchon which paired citrusy accompaniments with the fois gras mousse. They were not well-matched. The entrees were a crispy pork shank and a pork schnitzel. The pork shank was cooked well and was served with Thai accompaniments which did not complement it. The schnitzel was fried but the meat was tough, not tender as it should have been. The spaetzles and brussels sprouts were tasty. The menu was short on steaks and chops and had only 2 fish entrees, so it can't be called a steak house or a seafood house. Given the prices and the restaurant's reputation, the meal was very disappointing.

This was not our first time to SNG but it was our best! Food is always great and ambience is outstanding; a perfect fit for Jackson. But here are the things that made this a memory forever. Service was the best we have ever experienced. Great attention from our server, frequent water visits, prompt plate clearing and perfect execution on the serving of all main courses at the same time. Wines at SNG are priced fairly to allow you to enjoy your dinner with a nice paring. It would be easy to gouge. Don’t miss this gem but do book well in advance.

I would recommend dining at SRG if you are looking for below average, overpriced food. My family and I ordered the carpaccio pizza, zucchini soup, Caesar salad, heirloom tomato salad, turbot, pork schnitzel, and duck. The lauded pizza was underwhelming and salty/oily; both salads were drenched in dressing; the heirloom tomato salad was more like a house salad due to the ratio of tomatoes to lettuce; the turbot was soggy from the pooling butter sauce; the schnitzel was extremely dry and lacked the paired apricot jam (even the maitre d’ noticed when my father asked for additional jam); both the duck breast and pairings lacked flavor and tenderness. Additionally, the restaurant lacked an ambiance of intimacy and privacy. There wasn’t even a dress code (some guests were wearing tshirts and ball caps inside)! Furthermore, the service is something to be desired. We waited too long between courses, and our specific server could not describe the offerings when asked a specific question. Overall, we were incredibly disappointed with SRG. Do not be deceived when one refers to this restaurant as the best fine dining experience in The Valley!

Of the six restaurants we tried in our week in Jackson Hole, Snake River Grill was the obvious standout. 100%. The room is beautiful. The food wonderful. The service professional and friendly. Prices the same as the others we visited. It was a wonderful experience. The waiters are real pros. The management understands what it takes to make customers comfortable. The Chef is talented. Make this a "must" in JH.

We had a dinner for 14 in a private room. Server was gracious and knowledgable. Cocktails all perfectly prepared and so many memorable dishes. Highly recommend: Onion rings (presentation is !!!), tartar pizza, stuffed dates, butternut squash soup. Wagyu ribeye is fun and different and easily a meal for 3-4 making price point more accessible. All 4 desserts were had were really well prepared; the ice cream bar was awesome.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and we were so glad we took their advice. Our meals were so delicious and the wine selection was excellent The atmosphere is very nice for a romantic date or small group of friends. Order the pork shank with collard geeens. One of the best dishes I have ever tasted. Definitely a must for people that appreciate a great meal
