The price and quality of steak n eggs. Don't pass this up. Ask for a booth otherwise it'll feel a bit more crowded than it is. WONDERFUL service. We stopped here on our way to door county.

The Mint is a traditional local downtown diner. A nice variety and generous scoops make it a great stop on a summer day of downtown shopping. Sandwiches are excellent and reasonably priced.

We were in Wausau to ski at Granite Peak, but due to an injury, I was not skiing this trip. I headed to the downtown Wausau area, just 10 mins from the slopes, and discovered many great shops, and a super spot for lunch, the Mint Cafe! The Mint Cafe is on the square, right across from the ice skating... More

Good breakfast stop with interesting history. When downtown this is a great place for breakfast. Greasy spoon on the square with friendly service and very good food.

I am a vegetarian and chose a veggie burger. It was topped with all the fixings. It was a basic gardenburger, which is not unique, but predictably adequate. I enjoyed a coleslaw side, which was well made. I also enjoyed a Sprecher beer. The beer selection is small. All in all, a cozy, simple, comfortable choice for diner fare.

For starters, there are few places you can go that are now supper clubs, which still offer Liver and Onions on the standing menu. That was our first clue that we were being presented with down-home euro Wisconsin faire. My brother and I took advantage of the day's specials, ordering Beef Stroganoff and a BBQ Bomber (meatball sandwich). The service... More

If you want a great breakfast and enjoy time with your friends, this would be a good choice. No flair, just food that is predictable and portions good for the price.

The Mint is not a large cafe and when we arrived we found a booth and soon realized why others have recommended it. The service was excellent from hello to goodbye. We each had a breakfast with scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage patties, and toast. No one should leave hungry...the portions were generous and the hash browns were crispy and... More

1st time eating there.....the whole menu looked great. We both ended up ordering the same thing which was the pot roast sandwich. It was excellent! Look forward to another opportunity in the near future to try something else. The place is loud....definitely a diner. But really, really good!

Breakfast is my favorite meal and I was not disappointed. The service was above average even though the staff were very busy. Food was tasty and quantity satisfying. All in all a great little cafe worth well worth visiting.

Thank Ronald C
