We just went for drinks during a packers game. Phil the bartender was wonderful. He made our visit worthwhile and he was delightful!

McGovern's has been in Sun Prairie for ages, but seems to be stuck back in those ages. The restaurant is in a prime location on city's main thoroughfare, but has limited parking hampered by the scary rental cottages of the McGovern's hotel next door. Interior...More
Was working in Madison and was looking for a place out of town a bit and were happy to find this place. One the night we stopped in it was trivia night and a lot of the tables were reserved for the groups but still...More
We love this place! Food is always excellent, Staff is always friendly and fun to be around. Love the Irish feel of the whole place. Strongly recommend having dinner any day of the week. Always a home cooked meal on special.
They have a full menu but burgers are a long time specialty. I had the California Burger which is rarely seen on a menu these days. Toasted bun and perfect meat, one medium and one well done and both done perfect. We had not been...More
Good prime rib, baa ad karaoke. Had prime on a Saturday night. Good portion, tasty and tender enough for $15.95. Much better price than down the street at $49. Veggies consisted of salad bar (just ok) and a few carrots. What can you say about...More
We were in town for High School Football game. The parking lot was packed. Good indication that it is a good place to eat. This restaurant is a throw back to the 50's with 70's decor. Nice outside bar eating area but it was too...More
I live in Sun Prairie & am all about local places, but what keeps this place in business is a mystery. It's a throwback from the late 70's - the fireplace stone surround, the worn carpeting, the gold & avocado green paneling in the open...More
Our table of seven had good entrees and beverages from the bar. Very enjoyable; casual atmosphere. Outside patio was very popular with the bar set and the dining room was quiet. TV available for watching sports.
Decent place for locals, but I wouldn't refer this place to any visitors. While most of the staff is friendly, the décor needs serious work. Kitchen is open to all & bathrooms are scary.
