This is a pretty nice east side place to checkout for any event but the Saturday and Sunday Brunch with loads of variety, is one to surely investigate for sure! One can find some great tuna melts BLT and chicken salad! The vermouth carrots are...More

Over the last year of traveling to MKE, Swingin' Door has become my favorite spot. A somewhat hole in the wall place on E Michigan, Swingin' never disappoints in atmosphere, drinks or food. I have been a frequent customer for brunches, lunches and dinners and...More

The bar here is always packed with serious drinkers. That being said, all the tables are full with serious eaters. The sandwiches are great.

Went for dinner tonight and was not disappointed. Michael was our server and he was great...attentive, informative and fun. We had an appetizer of the wonton wrapped mozzarella sticks with marinara dipping sauce-melty and wonderful. I ordered the prime rib French dip sandwich and have...More

The wait was about 45 minutes long, which was a bit frustrating but it was fine. We ordered the beat and goat cheese salad which was absolutely divine. We also ordered the sliders which were great, the haystack onion, which could be a bit more...More

Not sure what to expect. Very pleased with overall experience. Our server, Kim was just our style. Easy going but very attentive to our requests. Wedge salad, garlic mussels, and hot chx dip all passed with gold stars! Very very good! Will definitely return next...More

Between the fish fry, amazing cocktails (really well-priced mule!), vermouth carrots, and ribs, this was maybe one of the best meals my husband and I have had. Fun, nostalgic ambiance too. Would drive all the way up from Chicago to go again, and there's a...More

We couldn't find a place open for dinner on Sunday evening and happened upon Swinging Door. Great Wisconsin vibe, good menu, friendly staff. I had the sirachi chicken with a side salad and hubby had the club sandwich with housemade chips, both were great.

This place is delicious. Favorite brunch place of several friends. Sometimes this place can be packed because it is a little small, but it seems to be a hidden gem for the brunch crowd. It is downtown, so parking can be a pain, but usually...More

I'll be honest, I don't remember a tv outside of the bar area and the tables in the bar, as I recall, were 3 or 4 tops. We sat outside of the actual bar area so I can't say for sure if this is the place you're looking for... More

Walk-in only. Wait times may vary based on the number of people in your party. Smaller groups turn over more quickly. I think the others here answered excellently. Thanks for the question and thanks for the answers!

I'd get there around 5:30. Plenty of time for a few drinks and some awesome food.
