There were 7 of us looking to eat before attending a performance at The Rep. There were lots of choices with a brunch menu - a lunch menu AND their regular menu. Our server was friendly and attentive - we ordered beverages while reviewing the menus. Several of us went with brunch items: Ham & Cheese omelet ($8.95), Portobella Mushrooms... More

This is just a nice place to stop for a bite to eat. Always great service, nice bar and cocktails. The chop salad is a must have. Never a bad meal here.

Went Wednesday evening. Staff was very nice and waiter made solid suggestions regarding house wines, appetizers and dinners. Everything we had was cooked perfectly and timed well. This was our first trip to Louises at Cathedral Park and we will be back. Prices are reasonable especially in light of generous proportions offered. We had stuffed chicken with risotto and a... My husband and I decided to go to Louise's (Italian) Restaurant before a concert we were going to attend at St. John The Evangelist Cathedral across from the restaurant. We got there before time and it was easy to get in (we had a reservation anyhow) because it was almost empty. My husband ordered a glass of wine to be... More

Our first visit here. Lots of tables; almost empty on a Sunday night. The atmosphere looks like a place you'd take a first date or business meeting... nice/quiet/dim. Basket of bread (looks like pizza bread) with dipping sauce (balsamic vinegar in olive oil) served while waiting. Good to eat warm but if its cold, its like eating cardboard. I thought... More

Great strawberry walnut salad. The tomato caprese sandwich was tough. Baguette was not fresh - not crispy or chewy but tough and dry. I ended up eating it after I left the restaurant because the waiter didn't provide a knife to cut it in half and it was too difficult to gnaw on a tough large chunk of bread (mostly... More

Louise's has become my favorite Italian option in the MIlwaukee area, and it is very conveniently located. I've never had trouble getting a table here quickly, and service is friendly. The food is great! A very nice option for either lunch or dinner; I think they have a wonderful brunch as well though I've never eaten it.

Went to explore new places with two friends. Sunday noon. Fourteen other people in the restaurant. Seated quickly. Ten minutes before waiter showed up. Ordered simple beverages - chocolate milk, coffee with cream and sugar, and a house wine. Another ten minutes go by and we get house wine, black coffee with no condiments, and a brown coating of something... More

We made a reservation for our anniversary dinner. All the food was great and for a very good price as well! Service was not excellent, but good. It was a Sunday night and not super busy so would be good to go to if you do not have a reservation. All the food tasted very fresh.

We were looking for something a step down from too costly. This place filled the bill. My wife liked her chicken piccata and her glass of wine. I shared a pizza with my daughter - plenty of food but the pizza was average. The initial bread basket was disappointing - that flat processed white bread taste with no taste. The... More
