Don't miss the opportunity to have a Sunday brunch here! The atmosphere is airy lots of windows and so much attention to detail. The staff is dressed very professionally the tables are covered in white linen and fresh Cut flowers throughout. The food was marvelous! Croissants, soup, yogurt, granola, eggs Benedict, Crapes, cake… Champagne, mimosas, coffee. They have it all... More

Upon arriving we noticed that the restaurant was packed, however we were offered a table with a superb lake view! Our server took her time arriving, which we attributed to her being busy...long story short, Terrible service with a smile! NO ONE ever checked that ANYTHING we ordered was tasting ok... :( We ordered a scallop starter, a beet salad,... More

I was here recently with my mother and daughter for what I thought would be a special treat. The side of mushrooms was way over cooked and drowned in butter and salt. The French green beans received the same treatment--tired, over cooked and alarmingly salty. How can a French restaurant mess up haricots verts?? The French onion soup was good... More

Completely out of sight. I have eaten here multiple times, ordered extensively, and have never had a meal that was less than speculation. Wine list extensive, and after sticker shock, is actually very reasonable. Always order the creme brûlée for desert, creamy and crunchy. Best menu item Dover Sole. Deboned tableside. One downside, noise. The front rooms on Friday night... More

My husband and I had no trouble getting in for 1pm seating on a Sunday within the last month. We were fortunate to be seated at the most distant room to the north which is a bit quieter than the central room. The view of the lake and shoreline was spectacular from our window seating. On the Sunday Brunch Menu,... More

We had a wonderful dinner at Lake Park Bistro. I had a very flavorful, hardy (and gritty) mushroom soup, containing a few different varieties; a truly unique experience. A filet mignon steak pan-seared followed, with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans, and favored with truffles. My wife and I had thoroughly enjoyed it. This restaurant never disappoints. Highly recommended.

Our grandkids have been here with us for many special occasions. This time our granddaughter chose it for her Sweet 16 birthday dinner. Again, everything was perfect. Escargot (who knew kids order escargot?) onion soup, scallops, & foie gras were the starters followed by Sea Bass, Rib Eye Steak, & 2 orders of Steak For 2. Along with some good... More

This was our first trip to Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro, but it won't be the last. The food was excellent, as was the service. A few specifics: The highlight were the first plates (premiers plats / appetizers) with everyone raving over the onion soup (best restaurant onion soup anywhere,) escargots, tartare, and foie gras (best I've had.) The charcuterie plate... More

Read a review from "Zagat" that claimed Lake Park Bistro was on the "top of the list" for Milwaukee restaurants. Even my own experience the last several years has been positive and I have continued to look forward to any opportunity to go. This past Sunday the 19th of February I suggest Bartolatta's Lake Park Bistro, "fell off the list"!... More

I don't like writing negative reviews, and my experience may have been different because i was attending as part of a larger group in the private room, with prearranged menus. However, the service was the worst I've ever had, especially at a higher end restaurant. Our main server seemed miserable the entire night. No one came to refill waters, and... More

Serving authentic, rustic French cuisine in a bustling bistro setting, the restaurant features a menu that ranges from traditional to more modern and a chef's menu that changes with the seasons. The view of Lake Michigan from the two lake rooms in the Bistro is unrivaled by any other restaurant in the city. Plenty of free parking and a gorgeous park setting make Lake Park Bistro an appealing choice for any dining occasion. Lunch is served Monday through Friday, with guests able to choose from an a la carte menu or from the Menu d'Affaire, which offers a 2-course lunch for $19 and a 3-course lunch for $22. Sunday brunch is among the best in the Midwest, featuring three courses with champagne or a mimosa. Dinner is served nightly, and special events like wine dinners and the annual Black Truffle Dinner are highlights for guests and staff alike.
