The restaurant food is uniformly very good--interesting takes on traditional irish pub foods and contemporary fare. The hotel rooms are comfortable and clean. However, it is the pub that is the heart of the place. Whether it is quiet or busy, you will find friendly and capable service, both behind the bar and in the restaurant. Their warmth extends to... WOW. The Irish breakfast was authentic and very tasty. I had that, complete with fried tomatoes, Irish sausages, black pudding all washed down with a very nice Irish coffee (spend the extra 50 cents and add Jameson) and was full all day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We went for lunch. I would have given 5 stars, but service was very slow. We started with the Mussels and a couple of Smithwicks! Excellent! Then we ordered the Meatloaf Sandwich, Guinness Pull Pork Sandwich, Rueben, and Pot Roast Sandwich! They were all great. My favorite sandwich was the Rueben and my favorite side was the Honey Mustard Potato... More

I really enjoyed the food. We got the cheese plate, and I got the tenderloin with the whiskey cream sauce as my entree. They were both very good. The menu can be a little confusing, as I thought I was getting a draft beer but they only had that one in bottles.

There are many good Irish Bars in Milwaukee but this one has that real feel. As often as not, you will hear the lilt of an Irish brogue while sitting at the bar. And it looks like a pub with a dining area. Plenty of Irish beers available from Harp to Smithwicks and why not have a pint of Guinness.... More

Anyone who is Irish knows this place. Authentic Irish food plus a few American dishes rounds out the menu. The Root Soup with a side of the brown bread is a meal in itself. Very hearty. The Chicken Shannon and Shepard's Pie was popular at our table the night we went. Everyone raved over their meals. There was live music... More

The server forgot my soup, but other than that this was a lovely little restaurant with good food and great cocktails. Trivia night was a lovely bonus too (Tuesdays!), even as a solo traveler.

We were seated promptly on a Saturday night. There was a small group of musicians playing Irish folk music while we dined. I had the Shepherds Pie and the place had a full bar. Easy walk from our hotel and just a few blocks from Water Street.

This isn't the first trip for us to this pub. We have loved it for years and last night was no different. Friday night at 7 got seated right away and ordered the Garlic cheese "chips" so good!! Everyone who we have had interaction with is fantastically friendly and helpful. Jenna was our waitress and she was friendly and helpful.... More

We stayed here for our anniversay and then got breakfast included. The place is charming and looked like it was taken from Ireland and placed here. Our server was so darling and friendly, and explained the food options patiently. I got the frattata and my husband got the corn beef hash...they were both so flavorful and yummy. Very fresh ingredients.... More
