Happy Hour here is a must! It's from 4-6pm and they have exceptional deals! They have 5 or 6 "bites" of the menu that are a few bucks each. We tried all of them and the water chestnuts wrapped in bacon were the best but...More

We were sort of disappointed when arriving at the Rumpus Room. It was less than two hours before a major event at the nearby arena and we thought the place would be hopping. Unfortunately, no, the place was dead empty. This made our pre-event get...More

Happy hour appetizers (deviled eggs and rumaki) were delicious and reasonably priced.. What looked like happy hour-sized Cosmopolitans (thought to be $5- $6 sized) turned out to be $11 each! Ouch! The wedge salad was very good but, again, on the small side. The Black...More

The location for this restaurant is probably why it is busy. It is just 2 blocks from the Marcus Performing Center. So it is nice to park your car , do dinner then walk over to the theater. The food- meh. Not only my opinion...More

We ate dinner at the Rumpus Room, as our friends are holding a wedding rehearsal there in April. Started off by selecting a beer from their craft menu - plenty to select from. Moved to Braunschweiger and Brown Sugar Bacon. If the bacon doesn't sound...More

Description
The Rumpus Room is a European style gastro pub in downtown Milwaukee that combines adventurous but approachable, comforting food and one of the best craft beer and cocktail programs in the city.

The Rumpus Room offers a laid-back casual dining experience and features a spacious bar, an intimate dining room, a charcuterie area and a separate private event space. The menu emphasizes local, sustainable ingredients whenever possible, and the bar offers more than 20 beers on tap and more than 100 in bottles, plus a craft cocktail menu that changes with the seasons.

One of the best restaurants in Milwaukee's lively downtown entertainment district, Rumpus Room frequently welcomes theater-goers before or after a performance at the nearby Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.
