Food is great, servers are friendly and the prices are even better. My favorite breakfast place in La Crosse. Corned beef hash is awesome.

Hungry Peddler is reminiscent of a good old fashioned Wisconsin supper club. Garlic toast and a raw veggie plate are brought to your table when you're seated. They have great specials every night. Favorite of ours is the batter fried chicken/fish combo, but the steaks are great too.

I'd throw a knife at him. The steak needed a Sawzall to cut. The bacon wrapped shrimp was super sketchy, it smelled like bacon wrapped shrimp but tasted like cat food. NOTHING had the least amount of flavor. We had to dump a quarter cup of pleasoning onto everything but the salad. The French onion soup was crunchy. The serving... More

We always try to stop in here when passing through LaCrosse. This time we stopped once for breakfast on our way to southern Wisconsin and then again for lunch on our way back home to Minnesota. When we stopped on a Saturday, we originally wanted lunch because it was around 11:30 but they serve breakfast until noon on weekends, so... More

If you find yourself hungry and want a big breakfast or hardy burger, Look no further than the hungry peddler! No frills! Just good homestyle chow! And get yourself a bloody or screwdriver on the side. Enjoy!

Our family has been going to the Hungry Peddler when we visit LaCrosse. Had dinner with my mother-in-law and daughter. Filets for all. My mother-in-law added a 4 oz lobster tail and I added four bacon wrapped shrimp. The French onion soup and salad prior to the meal were fresh and delicious. We were too full for dessert at the... Went in for lunch. The restaurant was busy, but service was fast. The sandwiches we had were good, but nothing special. Probably won't ever go there again since there are better options in the LaCrosse area.
