We visit quite regularly as we live just down the road. I love coming in on a Sunday and seeing that they have a good vegetarian option on their roast list. Mushroom and nut roast is one of my favourites with a nice Yorkshire pudding!! You don't get this in many other country pubs. Lovely staff too... Will be back... More

We went here for an early evening meal, not realising it was "Curry and Quiz Night". All tables seemed to be reserved but the barman quickly found us a table as he realised we would be finished before the reservation time. At no stage did we feel hurried, and we enjoyed our meals which were large, hot & well-cooked. Good... More

Driving back from visiting son at University decided to stop for lunch - suddenly saw this pub and went in. It was very busy but we managed to get a table for two. Staff were very accommodating. Drinks were brought to the table. Order taken quickly and food came quickly too. We ordered the roast beef and roast lamb. Really... More

Went to The Royal Oak for an evening meal celebrating a Birthday, in a party of 18, Our meals were pre-booked, and despite the numbers, everything ran like clockwork. The food was perfect and the service first rate. The staff could not have ben more friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to return to!
