We tried Broken Spoke again today and are still amazed at the quality of food and service along with price. We had prime rib 2 weeks ago and it is the BEST prime rib within 100 miles of Lake Geneva. The flavor is outstanding and it is so tender. Just the right amount of fat to flavor it with a baked potato and salad to fill your tummy.

Visited here on a Sunday for lunch. Of course, several in group tried the Spotted Cow. The beer drinkers loved it and had to have another. I tried the wine, passable, not very good. Food was yummy, both burgers and the pastrami (my choice). We ate outside and our waitress was super; she kept coming out to check on us.

Had Breakfast that was very good. We won on a contest that they ran on Facebook! Met the owner,who is very nice and owns a beautiful bar!! Highly recommend if you are in the Genoa City area!! As a plus we were put in a drawing for free Prime Rib Dinner and we won that too!!

Good food but what service ?

This was not our intended dinner venue. Our intended venus turned out to be doing a special event onthe night in question. This place is a good size. Plenty of room for tables or dancing. They clearly have live music at times in the garden and also inside. I cannot speak for the toilets as I didn't go but the tables were clean. Our waiter provided the menus. You need a torch to read them as the lights varied a lot and were at times almost dark. I don't know who orders the stock for this place but I had my third choice of meal because they had run out. A friend had to accept fries rather than sweet potato fries for the same reason. The manager told me about what was missing after the waiter had taken our orders. Drinks arrived eventually. The food when it arrived was, in all fairness, good. Everyone was happy with what they ate. My partner had ordered diet coke. Refills are standard in the US apparently but the waiter was having nothing to do with us. She had already gathered cutlery which the waiter failed to deliver. That did not seem to get the waiter to think. She went and helped herself to a refill diet coke. Waiters intended US need tips to get a proper wage. I am sorry to say that a tip has to be earned. It was not earned on this occasion !!
