An incredible hidden gem that you must try.

This a a place where you will be willing to revisit and travel a ways to get to it. The smoked chicken wings are some of the best that I have ever had. This is authentic New Orleans style food that is made from scratch. No table menus, just take a pic of the whiteboard. Great gumbo, Poor Boys, etouffe, and smoked brisket burgers. Comfort food in a rustic location and setting, what more would you want.

Farm to table fantastic

Food is excellent. We sat at the bar and the bartender was extremely nice and friendly. My only complaint is my friends kept trying to eat off my plate plus their's. Bottom line go here but not when I'm there.

Great food but really slow for a group

Food was great once we got it, no complaints about that. They are not set up to take care of groups. We had about 16 and had one waitress. It took forever to take food orders because there are no menus. It took another hour or so before food came out. By the time we got our checks etc. it was a 2-1/2 hour experience.

Waitress was amazing and literally

Waitress was amazing and literally ran around the place waiting on customers. Food would have been amazing had it not been due to undercooked fish. I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an attentive waitress, otherwise seek elsewhere. Cannot stress enough how great the waitress was.

Best Cajun food north of NOLA!

Wow! Had no idea what to expect. Saw signs along the road and decided to give it a whirl. Well off the beaten path, it looks like you’re pulling into a family farm - you are! Menu is on a menu board and worth exploring. Cajun creole delights abound along with bbq and it’s all delicious. Server was energetic and alone. Fortunately, she is excellent and it wasn’t packed, just busy. Worth the trip.

Great food!!

Easy to miss. This great restaurant is in a refinished barn! Service was leisurely as I think they were understaffed. Sadly, many places have the same problem. Food is surprisingly good. Not expecting great southern food in a barn in Wisconsin!

A family business that has good food. We liked the meatballs and chicken wings and burgers. The sliders were actually po’ boys. A printed menu on each table would help. They said no bbq today but had two items with brisket? Good coleslaw.

Didn't know what to expect

It is off the beaten path. Kinda quirky. Parked on the south side and thought, not to busy. All the cars were on the north side. We had reserved a table. Seated quickly. The menu was on a dry erase board as you walk in. Waitress was at the table quickly, even though she was the only waitstaff until later, and got our drinks (think the lemonade gun was out). Limited menu. 3 of the 6 got the catfish and said it was very good. 2 got the cones, 1 chicken and 1 shrimp, both excellent. 1 got the shrimp boil and it was peel to eat- good flavor, maybe overcooked. The baked beans were the best I have ever had. The dirty rice had no taste. The burgers, that walked by, looked great. This place is loud, which was fine for us, just not the place for an intimate dinner. Will go back.

I have been here the Shrimp Po Boy which was good. I had the trip cone with two sauces. The trip was done perfectly, not overcooked and the sauces were excellent. The highlight of the meal for me was the Bloody Mary which was made with Old Bay mixer! It wasn't watered-down, or too spicy. Just right. I would go back just for the Bloody Mary but the food was worth the drive. Ipt's a great destination ride on the motorcycle.

We had the Bison/Beef Burger and the Chicken Cone.... (Wish the cone was cajun spiced and not just plain breading). The Burger rocked My husbands soul of flavor~ Beers, $3.00 was a tad high in price. Cannot wait to try more.......

Amazing Restuarant Off the Beaten Path and Worth the Drive!

Where to start? 1. Best wings I've ever had (they are smoked, fried, then served with a savory BBQ sauce). 2. Amazing food and great service! 3. Cool atmosphere (converted barn with wood paneling) So if you are looking for something different with a Southern flair, give it try.

Amazing wings, great service!

They have the best wings I’ve ever had. No comparison. The catfish was delicious. The staff (from the waiter to the chef to the busboy) are as friendly as can be. What an amazing meal at a great price. Good live music. Can’t wait to come back!

Off the beaten path, worth seeking out.

The Southern Stop is a short drive into the country, and if you are not paying attention you might drive past what looks like a set of farm buildings. Inside is a typical Wisconsin bar, some flat screens, pool table and video games. The days offerings are on a dry erase board as you enter. They specialize in Cajun Creole style cooking. We had the chicken Po' Boy, smoked wings and a shrimp cone. All were very good. Draft beer is local, New Glarus and Leine's, domestic drafts. Staff were very personable and service was great. Outside tables. Free pool on Thursday, Wed is $.75 wing night. I will definitely return.

The Southern Stop in Genoa City has some of the best cajun food around. The Gumbo if you close your eyes you'd swear you were in the french quarter, And the shrimp boil wow! Give this place a try nice owners and a very nice atmosphere to the restuarant/Bar.

Great atmosphere with Excellent food.

The service is excellent and all the help(Family)is friendly. I had the smoked wings with sweet potato fries. I will be back to sample more of the southern Fare.
