I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, the food was good, the staff wonderful. I had the chicken and fish dinner. The Fish is boiled cod covered in melted butter, with coleslaw on the side. The Chicken is grilled on the barbecue and is moist and juicy and flavourful. The portions are not large when you get given your meal but you can go up as often as you like to restock. Bargain price for the quality.

Great Fish Boil

If you like Door County fish boils, you will really like this one, ever though it's on the Wis-Ill border in a very small town. Fish, red potatoes, onions and veggies are served buffet-style and is very good. No skin or bones in the fish...and you can go back for seconds! Also a nice bar in a neat old home enviornment.

Amazing Food!

If you love fish (or don’t), we strongly recommend giving this hidden gem a try - the fish is truly amazing and all the sides (and dessert) are equally as good. This place will not disappoint if you bring an appetite and want to enjoy all the wonderful tastes of a traditional fish boil. We have been coming to this place for many years and we plan to continue making the stop when we can.

Delicious fish boil every time!

I always enjoy a dinner at Fitzgerald's and have been coming here for years. The atmosphere is quaint, and the fish boil with potatoes and onions is delicious. The meal is served buffet style, and it is all you can eat except for the dessert. (Although I do wish the pie slices were just a bit larger.) There is a small bar to get drinks or you can order at your table. There is a large dining area downstairs and a smaller one upstairs, along with a cute alcove on the second floor. I believe you can eat outside in good weather, but I have never done this. It is a cash only restaurant, but they have an ATM on site. If you enjoy a fish boil, you will love Fitzgerald's!

Not a meal worth the money.

I had mentioned that I would like to experience a fish boil sometime… in Door County. My husband found Fitzgeralds and we drove up ( about an hour)- I was not impressed with what I saw online. The meal was terrible and I am not a picky eater-I will try almost anything. You got 1 scoop of boiled chopped fish, 1 boiled red potato, 1/2 boiled onion and 1 scoop of coleslaw. Small amount melted butter. I could not believe that people were going up for more. And little square of an apple dessert. At $18.95 per person, it was clearly overpriced. We didn’t get the chicken or ribs. Well, I can cross this experience off my list. If this is what they do in Door County, I will pass on the fish boil and save my money to spend in the stores.

The fish and sides were excellent. The fish was very tender and delicious as were the onions and the potatoes. Decided to go for a second helping of fish instead of the dessert. (It's all you can eat.) FYI, it's cash only but there is an ATM on site if needed.

Disappointing

This was our first time (June 14, 2024) this year and had the dinner of fish. Although we were there at 500 pm, the food was lukewarm at best. I considered room temperature fish and sides ( potato and onions) unacceptable . Coleslaw was ok, but considerable amount of salad dressing. Didn’t bother attempting another plate. Neither did my guest.

Great Atmosphere, Great Service, Great Food

My friends and I came to this location for their Fish Boil. We were approached by the host and they suggested to try the Fish, Chicken and Ribs. We went with that recommendation and it was a great selection. A lot of food, with Excellent Fish Boil and BBQ food. Service was great, polite individuals working for this establishment. Great Food. Must Check it out.

Fantastic atmosphere. Customer service is very good you may have to wait but it is well worth it. Plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs and good waiting area. The fish boil is known for miles around and the chicken and ribs is delicious.

Found out that boiled fish can be absolutely delicious! Fitzgerald's dinner is is not expensive, offers plenty to eat, and the bonus is dessert included in tbe price!

This place not only has a great, cozy atmosphere, but the fish was out of this world! They have a simple, limited menu (fish, chicken, ribs or all 3) but they make all of those options to a perfect check mark. $15 per person flat fee (for fish or chicken. Ribs are slightly more) and it is all you can eat. The cod is meaty and flavorful with delicious cole slaw and potato’s to compliment it. Wait staff was friendly and attentive without being too in your face. All food is cooked outside, even in the winter, giving it a delicious taste you just cannot get on a flat top grill. It’s a bit out of the way and kind of not near much, but worth the drive.

This is the best comfort food you can find! The fish is awesome, in this sweet country home setting. Sitting outside is great when you can watch them cook your food too! Don't miss out!

This fish boil is better than any in Dorr county Wisconsin. They use cod fish, where Door county uses white fish. And this makes all the difference. In this particular restaurant you are given a table and then you walk up to the serving table to pick out what item you want with the fish.
