Samano's has consistently delicious Mexican food !! Wonderful quesadillas, guacamole, & chips, !!! We, as a family, have frequented this restaurant for 45 years !! Friendly & welcoming !!
Haven't been here for almost 30 years. The outside looks very inviting. But when you walk in the inside seems very average. There were only customers at 3 tables and a couple at the bar. And this was diner time on a Saturday. My wife and I both ordered Tacos. Nothing special about the food. About the same as any... More
It had been a few years since my wife and I had been to Samano's, a restaurant we have both been coming to for 30 years. We were very pleased with the addition of the garden patio seating area which they hadn't yet added the last time we were there. The food was just as good as it always was.... More
I understand that this is a family owned place and used to be an excellent place for Mexican. I'd say it's slipped over the years. I have to agree with some of the other reviews about average tamales and dried up reheated meat. Nothing tastes fresh. I had a combination plate consisting of enchilada/tamale/tostada and my enchilada was burned looking... More
The food was to be expected, so-so, but our waitress was lazy and inept. Left dirty dishes on the table, handed the tray over the table so I could get my glass of water from it, no offer of refills, no coffee/dessert offering, sat at the bar eating and drinking with no check back, threw dum-dum suckers on the table... Has both American and Mexican food, but favoring the Mexican palate! My son and wife like Mexican so when they came to visit I picked Samano's to try! Pleasantly surprised! I tried two different Mexican entrees and both were quite good! My son and daughter-in-law also enjoyed it and they visit Cabo San Lucas Mexico twice a year! There were... More
Not the Samano's I grew up with. The portions seem small and they seem to have lost the old family recipes and authenticity on some of the menu items. I can tell they are using shortcuts on Grandma's recipes. I guess it's ok if you're new, but I'd rather go somewhere else. Sorry M.
We have enjoyed this restaurant for over 40 years ! The food is reliably good !! The guacamole, chips and salsa are delicious……..the margaritas are some of the best in town !!
I've heard some good things about Samanos and, when I went there a few years ago, the food was pretty good. However, I did not enjoy my dinner there last night. I ordered the taco, enchilada and tamale dinner. Everything was overly salty, the chicken was dry and they put some sauteed pork over the tamale that tasted like it... More
