Try this interesting shop for it's middle eastern food and items for sale. Friendly and helpful staff, great meals and the place to buy spices, dried figs, etc. Pastries are a bit dry but all else is excellent.

The selection is amazing. It is almost like being in the big city. The freshly prepared food is also worth trying and taking home. The Kassars are friendly and very helpful.

I have not yet eaten here, but I plan to simply because of the great service we received in the shop/market section. My husband and I stopped by on a whim and were delighted with all the wonderful and unique items and foodstuffs available here. We are fans of Middle Easter and Indian cuisine and it was great to see... More

A friend suggested we have our monthly dinner meeting at Kassar's and it was the first time I've ever eaten there. The owner and his son welcomed us and explained many of the foods we had questions about in a kind and informative way. We ate dinner in the dining area behind the store and it was comfortable. The owner... More

International foods are scarce in Morgantown. Fortunately, a WVU PhD from the Middle East opened Kassar's decades ago to provide specialty foods and spices needed for Middle Eastern, Asian, SE Asian, Indian, and African cuisines sought by foreign students, researchers and faculty at WVU and very much appreciated by Americans who prepare international dishes. In addition to preserved, fresh, and... More

Who knew that Morgantown would have a gem like this? Spent a week in town on university related business and discovered this place at the end of the week so I couldn't come back and try the restaurant (next time!), but the variety and prices on the international grocery items is remarkable. Wish I had this place closer to my... More

I did not order food at this place. I was there for the sweets. I requested for a piece of every dessert that was on display. They were delicious and I was high on sugar for the rest of the night! My favorite is the one with pistachio in thin puff pastry. Yum!! A must for anyone who is going... More

We enjoyed Kassar's for a lunch outing. The seating area is in the back of the grocery and has floor or table seating with genuine decor. You order when you come into the restaurant at the register and then pay when you leave. The food that we had was all very good and well prepared. The owners were very hospitable.... More
