While visiting West Virginia for four days this spring, my spouse and enjoyed a day trip from Charleston to Lewisburg along the Midland Trail National Scenic Byway. The drive took us three hours on a very windy, two-lane road, and we encountered snow!! By the...More

We had a wonderful meal in a cozy alcove of this charming restaurant. The portions are large and the food was fresh and very tasty. We had fish, chicken and steak, as well as fresh vegetables, delicious appetizers and dessert. The pecan coated chicken was...More

We chose this place because it was recommended by a local. Being from Maryland I am used to amazing seafood and I made the mistake of ordering a surf & turf type special which had stuffed shrimp and a steak fillet. The stuffed shrimp with...More

Good salads. Not overly gluten free friendly as they do not offer any gluten free bead. I have to sit and watch my family eat their fresh baked flower pot bread because I have Celiac Disease and must not eat anything with gluten in it.

Don't judge the place by the decor, decor is a bit dated, but the food is excellent and service superb! This building was a former car dealership and the 'cubbies' where the salesmen would 'wheel and deal', now house cozy tables.

Because of the distance we live from this restaurant and being busy with extended family, my husband and I found the opportunity to drive to Lewisburg for a late lunch. We were delayed because of an accident on the way, but arrived starved a few...More

We made reservations to eat here. I don’t know if they were necessary. The service was not the fastest, but it was adequate. The food was good though. I ate the Reuben, and asked for more Thousand Island for dipping. My husband also ordered a...More

We stop here for lunch every time we travel from Richmond to Columbus. The sandwiches are wonderful - thick and delicious. Try their soups when the weather's chilly. Whatever they've got bubbling on the pot will be tasty and warm you innards.

The food is always great. Service is good, but it's a bit pricey for the food you receive. Not a place I could eat at every week, but good for once a month or so.

Had a VERY enjoyable dinner which consisted of blackened swordfish and roasted pepper Gouda cheese soup. This was the best blackened swordfish I've ever had and the soup was superb! Unique bread comes baked in a terracotta planter and was quite delicious. Our server Lisa...More

Yes, they have two different rooms they can give to a group. It doesn't work for a performance or presentation, though. But, there are two spaces that can be set off from the restaurant. Karen Vuranch
