Not your average restaurant, as it reflects a younger, more relaxed way of life. BUT, good food and good service. Food runs the entire spectrum: all fresh, locally grown if available, both meat and veggy entrees, gluten free available, comfort food and fancy food. Give...More
We enjoyed this farm to table restaurant in Charleston's funky and up and coming East End. Great grassfed burgers. Also had free range chicken. Able to serve our Paleo, gluten-free family. Bluegrass music at night. Large bar. We were there in late afternoon, so nearly...More
I've had mixed experiences at Bluegrass Kitchen, usually due to my hope for a specific dish that has been dropped from the rotating menu. This time I tried Hoppin John because I wanted vegetarian--great option. Other winners have been catfish and fried bologna.

Service was a bit slow, but we got a seat right away and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the home cured, grass-fed corned beef hash stack.
